Out of water in the middle of the ocean

You may have never heard of the tiny Pacific nation of Tuvalu, but you may now. They have experienced a horrible drought. And now the country in the middle of salt water is out of the most precious gift on earth: Drinking water.

The nation of 11,000 can now only hope that the help they are getting from New Zealand and Australia will be enough to avert a very bad disaster.. We will be watching this story..

Big Bird and company protest

Occupy Wall Street!? Try this: Occupy Sesame street is the newest fad.

This thanks to the website Tauntr.com, which is posting perfectly photoshopped images of Sesame Street characters in the midst of the Occupy Wall Street protests..

One image shows Grover being arrested by strong-armed police..Another shows a sneaking Oscar the Grouch hiding from cops.. Elmo on the ground being cuffed.. Bert angrily being arrested.. and the Count crying after being pepper sprayed.

And now, after Tauntr's efforts to parody with purpose, other sites and people who quickly getting into the act. The images are spreading like wildfire around the internet--and other Sesame Street related websites are popping up.

Another new fad during chaos.. humor during crisis. And a bigger message through laughter. The internet is showing the modern way people deal with problems.

Money can't buy happiness

Since his passing only days ago, the world is celebrating the life, times, and products of Apple's Steve Jobs.

Mr. Jobs' death at an early age this week and was immediately heralded as a genius of this age, someone who created products with purpose that people needed and wanted.

But while he was making billions for his company, the back story of his life is only now being revealed from those close to him.

In proof that money can't buy pure happiness, the UK INDEPENDENT is reporting in fresh international runs that Steve Jobs had a final wish that had nothing to do with his products or his profits: Instead he wanted to get to know his children before it was too late.

According to the INDEPENDENT report, Walter Isaacson, Jobs' biographer, visited Jobs a few weeks ago and found him curled up in pain, too weak to even climb stairs. Isaacson told the paper that he recalled Jobs saying, "I wanted my kids to know me. I wasn't always there for them, and I wanted them to know why and to understand what I did."

Jobs is survived by a wife and three children..

Friends have also rumored that some who went to see a dying Jobs weren't alllowed in, but some others were, including Roger Iger of Disney, and other Apple officials..

An amazing man, indeed.. And a showcase of how, while money may equate happiness while health is good, when it's not, the real things begin to matter: Life, family.. and the legacy you will leave behind.

Mr. Jobs' public legacy is strong and respectable. It appears that he wanted to ensure that his private legacy was just as powerfu before he lost his battle with pancreatic cancer.

Steve Jobs is gone..

But his products are not.. DAILY MAIL reports that there are years of products coming, due to his last minute plans before death.. Amazing man, sad passing.. and no way that Apple will ever go away..

Weeks before a collapse?

One person predicts that the world will experience an economic collapse in two to three weeks.

It may sound far fetched, but the idea is from an IMF advisor..

Robert Shapiro said without a plan to save the Euro, banks in the UK could falter, followed by more across the globe..

Clock is ticking..world is waiting..

The mounting disaster toll

It's evident that much of the world and the media forgets about the disaster(s) in Japan--but the Japanese are well aware of the increasing toll that nuclear catastrophe is taking on the nation..

The ECONOMIST reports on radiation covering trees, villages, and entire landscapes from Fukushima..

Cesium 134 is spiking, and workers are warning about pollen on the radiation-scorched earth.

Despite the world's apparent attempt to forget and move on from the massive Japanese disaster, it only escalates and radiates as time ticks on.

"Plaintiffs do not have a fundamental right to consume the milk from their own cow"

A Wisconsin judge has fueled rage across America with a September decision that people do no have a fundamental right to drink their own animals' product. In more detail: Dane County Circuit Court Judge Patrick J. Fiedler has issued an order holding that owners of cows do not have a fundamental right to consume milk from their own cow.

The Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund website has a full PDF of the September decision.. The highlights, as exposed and now widely being reported on the internet, have massive implications:
(1) Plaintiffs do not have a fundamental right to own and use a dairy cow or a dairy herd;

(2) Plaintiffs do not have a fundamental right to consume the milk from their own cow;
(3) Plaintiffs do not have a fundamental right to board their cow at the farm of a farmer;
(4) The Zinniker Plaintiffs' private contract does not fall outside the scope of the States' police power;
(5) Plaintiffs do not have a fundamental right to produce and consume the foods of their choice;
(6) DATCP [Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection] . . . had jurisdiction to regulate the Zinniker Plaintiffs' conduct.

The case is expected to continue through higher courts due to appeals.. This website will attempt to follow the developments with it..

Until then, the old adage that you are what you may soon have to be changed: You are what you are permitted to eat..

New York Police monitoring sanitation issues

With large crowds come large messes. Especially when those large crowds aren't controlled and instead spontaneously forming..

Such is the case tonight in New York City, where for days now crowds have gathered in the thousands to protest Wall Street..

But, as all others do, "Occupy Wall Street" eats, drinks, and uses the bathroom just the same.

And that is the exact concern of the police--along with warnings to the crowd that the police will use force perhaps in the near future.

Protesters at the site have Tweeted and Tumblred their anger at greed, they seldom mention the smell. But what a smell is must be..

The NYPD said that there were about a dozen arrests Wednesday night

CBS news' Chopper 2 captured an image of an officer with a baton hitting a protestor as other police surrounded him and tossed the protester to the ground.

They are protesting corporate greed. Of course they are also uploaded live streams to their Facebook over their iPhones all the while..

Revolutionary gone from earth

Steve Jobs dead.. Apple announces..

Apple's official website paying tribute tonight to their former revolutionary head .. he busted through competition, created products that people wanted and some that later would revolutionize the way we received data and talked about it.. Gone from earth. But not forgotten. And never will be.

Nearly half of United States citizens live in households receiving government benefits

....those who proclaim that Obama is a socialist should take a hard look in the mirror; America is already there.

The Wall Street JOURNAL reporting that48.5%, of the population lived in a household that received some type of government benefit in the first quarter of 2010..

Those numbers have risen since 2008.

18.1% of households pay neither payroll nor federal income taxes and they are predominantly the nation’s elderly and poorest families..

And a millionaires tax is being debated in D.C. ..? The land of the absurd..

The nation is crumbling, seemingly, while few are lining up to stop it. Instead they're lining up for American Pie and Uncle Sam, with a warm handout as the winter approaches.

News from space.. That will have a direct effect on the planet earth

NOAA forecasters estimate a 30% chance of minor geomagnetic storms on Oct. 5th and 6th as a series of two to three CMEs sweeps past our planet..

Developing story..

And anyone who knows the story of the Carrington Event knows why solar flares, sunspots, and CMEs are so important: They could wipe up everything you know technology wise..

Once again this site is a work in progress

Trying to get it linked with Twitter.. trying to get it out into the public that it even exists. So if you should happen to come across us here, only two days old, be a friend and do spread the word of it..

Meanwhile, working on some other news stories.. trying to get some contacts.. and trying to figure out where to start .. Earth's news. World chaos. Too much to even read.

Canary in the Coal Mine: A swarm ..

An earthquake swarm is taking place in the Canary Islands.. Amost 10,000 earthquakes in recent weeks and no sign that the earth rattling shaking is going to subside.. Even today, number 2.somethings have developed and rattled nerves--and rattled people already closely watching El Hierro, the volcano that is poised to rumble yet again.

Rumors and fear aside (there are those who claim a mega tsunami could develop), it's a story that EarthInformer will be watching and reporting on.. and one that is sure to continue it's interesting development as time tick tocks on..

The big melt in the North..

Harrowing news from NASA as they release this: Arctic Sea ice declined to the second-lowest extent on record. Satellite data from NASA and the NASA-supported National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) at the University of Colorado in Boulder showed that the summertime sea ice cover narrowly avoided a new record low.

Scientists have watched it unfold for three decades.. and now, a new low for the ice..

Joey Comiso, senior scientist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md, said "The sea ice is not only declining, the pace of the decline is becoming more drastic. The older, thicker ice is declining faster than the rest, making for a more vulnerable perennial ice cover."

Earthinformer.com will try to get in contact with Mr. Comiso for more on the troubling news..
