There was mass chaos in the audience at the Friday night performance of Hamilton at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco after someone confused a woman’s medical emergency with an active shooting and shouted “gun!” CBS Sacramento reporter Shirin Rajaee was watching the show when, she reports, people ducked and ran out of the theater.
Police told Rajaee that a woman was having a heart attack when someone in the theater saw her and thought she had been shot.
In a matter of seconds, nearly everyone in the theater took cover, Rajaee reports. During the ensuing chaos, some people even jumped into nearby police patrol cars, fearing an active shooting was in progress. The theater was evacuated and a woman was taken out in an ambulance.
The actress was reportedly on a flight headed to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico when her plane circled back and landed at an airport in Ontario, California, according to People magazine, citing a source. Per TMZ, Aniston's close pal and former "Friends" co-starCourteney Coxwas also on the flight.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) told TMZ that a flight departed Los Angeles International Airport around 11 a.m., and, during takeoff, lost a wheel or a tire.
Pope Francis has expelled Theodore E. McCarrick, a former cardinal and archbishop of Washington, from the priesthood, after an expedited canonical process that found him guilty of sexually abusing minors and adult seminarians over decades, the Vatican said on Saturday. “The Holy Father has recognized the definitive nature of this decision made in accord with law” — making it final — the Vatican said of the sentence handed down by its doctrinal watchdog. It appears to be the first time that a cardinal or bishop in the United States has been defrocked, or laicized, from the Roman Catholic Church, and the first time any cardinal has been laicized for sexual abuse. Laicization, which strips a person of all priestly identity, also revokes church-sponsored resources like housing and financial benefits.
Authorities identified the gunman in the mass shooting Friday as 45-year-old Gary Martin... he was let go from his job at the manufacturing business the Henry Pratt Co and went on a shooting rampage at his workplace in Illinois, leaving five workers dead and five officers injured..
The business is located in the Chicago suburb of the Aurora..
All the five employees who died in the shooting were men, police said. The shooter was killed during an exchange of gunfire with law enforcement officials, Aurora Police Chief Kristen Ziman said.
He was "running down the aisle" with a pistol that had a green laser sight on it, he said. "As soon as I saw the green thing and heard the shots, we left," said Probst, who's worked at the plant for 40 years.
"He started opening up on the room and he was just shooting everybody."

After all these years--15 to be exact--the Mars Rover is dead.
Gone..
Transmission last..
But it was a miracle in nature!
After all, NASA's six-wheeled rover landed on the red planet in January 2004 for what billed as a 90-day mission. The robot was still going until a dust storm on Mars last summer killed it.
From 2004 until now.. Many of you reading this today were just born in or around 2004.. from your youth until this final message from the Red Planet, we have been hearing from a distant friend, in a way..
Tuesday’s communication attempts began with a “wake-up song” played at mission control. The mission’s principal investigator, Steve Squyres, had chosen “I’ll Be Seeing You,” as performed by Billie Holiday. At 8:10 p.m., Holiday’s wistful voice floated up from the command floor. “I’ll be seeing you in all the old familiar places that this heart of mine embraces,” she sang. Tears welled in my eyes.
Opportunity — or Oppy, as we affectionately call her — has been in my heart since she touched down on Martian soil 15 years ago, in January 2004. I was 16 and a high school student at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, Md. I loved space, and I couldn’t believe my luck when the Planetary Society offered me the chance to watch Opportunity land at JPL through its Red Rover Goes to Mars program. I was with the science team when we saw Oppy’s first images of Mars pop into view on large projection screens that surrounded the room. Instead of the rocky volcanic plains previous Mars landers had seen, Opportunity revealed a sea of sand with a strip of white bedrock poking through.
Opportunity was, actually, the second rover that NASA managed to land on Mars back in 2004. The tests and data found concludes that Mars was once able to hold life.. that waterways once roams around the now dusty dirt.
But today, Valentine's Day, a heartbreak: The final words of the Mars Rover.. seemingly painful to read, even though a machine beamed them..
A science reporter, Jacob Margolis, scientists at NASA said the last message they received from Opportunity effectively translated to, "My battery is low and it's getting dark."
NASA published their "Opportunity, Wake Up!" playlist on Spotify. It contained hits like "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" by Wham!, "Here Comes the Sun" by The Beatles, "Life On Mars?" by David Bowie, "Telephone Line" by Electric Light Orchestra, "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor, and "I Won't Back Down" by Tom Petty.
HALLOWEEN producer Jason Blum that he doesn't want to stop at just one sequel and hopes the film's success could inspire 10 more sequels.
"We had talked about it but right now we’re not shooting any Halloween movies right now because we don’t have deal rights to the sequels," Blum admitted to Moviefone. "But I certainly hope to make 10 more but I’ll start with one more."

"We had talked about it but right now we’re not shooting any Halloween movies right now because we don’t have deal rights to the sequels," Blum admitted to Moviefone. "But I certainly hope to make 10 more but I’ll start with one more."
Some may hope for the Shape to continue.. which if so would make him clear in his 70s when Blum finally concludes his wish of another decade of Halloweens..
Multiple sources have told ABC7 Eyewitness News that police are investigating whether Smollett and the two men staged the attack allegedly because Smollett was being written off of "Empire."
A source familiar with the investigation told the ABC7 I-Team that Smollett failed to appear for an interview with detectives earlier Thursday, but has since spoken with police.
Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson contacted ABC7 to say they are continuing to treat Smollett as a victim and the investigation remains ongoing.
Chicago police told ABC News, "Police are investigating whether the two individuals committed the attack - or whether the attack happened at all."
At that time, the reports from the scene indicates that it was a Trump-laden attack on the actor..
MORE..
Chicago police now say during a follow-up interview with Smollett, he recalled the suspects shouting about “MAGA Country.”
10:45 AM PT: Police are currently searching for video evidence of the alleged attack.
8:59 AM PT: — Smollett told police the chemical substance thrown in his face was bleach. We’re told officials are currently running tests to verify the chemicals.
Imagine the scene: A naked herd or folks dancing while the sacrifice of animals takes place..
There are smiles and cheers, and hopes that the burning animals will get the gods to give the dancing nudes fertility..
Oh, and then while the Romans would continue in their deadly pagan rituals, men would draw names from jars and, for the duration of the festival, be 'coupled' with them.
And just as Christians always took on pagan traditions to make them their own, the same occurred here as reported by Seipel:
The ancient Romans may also be responsible for the name of our modern day of love. Emperor Claudius II executed two men — both named Valentine — on Feb. 14 of different years in the 3rd century A.D. Their martyrdom was honored by the Catholic Church with the celebration of St. Valentine's Day.
Later, Pope Gelasius I muddled things in the 5th century by combining St. Valentine's Day with Lupercalia to expel the pagan rituals. But the festival was more of a theatrical interpretation of what it had once been. Lenski adds, "It was a little more of a drunken revel, but the Christians put clothes back on it. That didn't stop it from being a day of fertility and love."
Around the same time, the Normans celebrated Galatin's Day. Galatin meant "lover of women." That was likely confused with St. Valentine's Day at some point, in part because they sound alike.
There is more to the story besides the NPR article..
Countless news bits from history showcase the reason for the season.. the Roman Festival of Lupercalia is the heart of the whole thing, no pun intended. One highlight of the many things that occurred there: Two high-born young men stripped naked and sacrificed a dog and a goat. They smeared blood on their foreheads, then wiped it off with wool dipped in milk.. Sounds somewhat like the Bohemian Grove, don't you think?
I am a romantic at heart.. of course when you have a child, your romance takes a little bit of a back seat to the more practical parenting moments. But regardless, I still think love in the air is one of the most beautiful things ever--but Valentine's Day? Lust seems to be in the air.. fake emotions, and fake flowers.. the offensiveness of men ordering giant bouquets of flowers and sending it to women at work always made me chuckle at its ridiculousness. It's all for show--and more of a modern way of dancing to the gods of fertility..
Restaurants will be filled tonight with the hopeless dopes who will spend way too much money on a dinner they'd much sooner make themselves to save time and effort. That’s not how we used to do it ... paganism was much more raucous of a show...
STRANGER THING'S first companion novel entitled 'Suspicious Minds' just came out a few days ago....

Halloween 5 was abyssmal .. it was one of the most atrocious Halloween movies.. horror movies.. movies.. ever made..
But in the era of nostalgia, there is an apparent hunt now taking place for LOST FOOTAGE of the fifth installment of the film..
From SCREEN RANT:
Halloween 5 isn’t a particularly beloved entry in the series, featuring nonsensical story beats like Jamie’s psychic connection to Michael and a mysterious Man In Black who appears throughout the story. It’s also laden with bad dialogue and annoying teenage characters, but it has some charm as a low-budget slasher movie too. A fair amount was trimmed from Halloween 5prior to release, but now the HalloweenMovies Twitter account has revealed they’re actively searching through the original footage for these missing scenes.
The most famous Halloween 5 deleted scene was the original opening, which took place in the immediate aftermath of the fourth movie. Michael escapes from pursuing cops and his unconscious body was originally found by a devil worshipper named Dr. Death. He takes Michael back to his place, tattoos the cult of Thorn tattoo on his wrist and resurrects him the next year with a spell. Michael isn’t particularly grateful though and gruesomely kills him upon awakening. Other missing footage includes deleted gore, such as Michael wiping out an entire S.W.A.T team and Jamie being stabbed in the leg. There are also reports Michael’s burned face was seen during his brief unmasking.
INCLUDING THE HORROR REPORT. but not for reasons you'd think..
Here is yet another image circulating the world wide web of Will Smith starring in the new film:
E ONLINE writes that people are making memes and expressing laughter and expressive revulsion at Smith in costume..
But why is the HORROR REPORTERS freaked to the core?
Because of HOW MUCH this Will Smith creation looks like another one that never was real in this reality.. Smith looks a mighty bunch like the memories so many people had of the movie SHAZAM with comedian Sinbad. The movie that did not exist.. right?
So many on Twitter came to find out the hard way that they had just entered the Mandela Effect zone.. the location where memories became false and truth becomes distant..
“The project is not on the slate at the moment and is not for sale at the European Film Market in Berlin,” a spokeswoman for Avi Lerner’s studio said.

The latest development comes two weeks after Lerner, the longtime Millennium chairman, brushed off a report in the Atlantic in which Singer was accused of inappropriate groping and sexual relationships with four young men...
He is battling against the charges..
But it appears some want distance and cover during this controversial time..
Georgia lawmakers are pushing for a tax on digital video, books, music and video games...
That means residents of the states would Netflix, Chill, and pay ... they would pay more for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Kindle e-books, iTunes music, Spotify and internet phone services.
Those who are already connected would pay the price: They’d bear the cost of the 4 percent tax, but its benefits would go toward rural residents who lack high-speed access to online products..
And who, you may ask, also wants the tax?
LOBBYISTS!
Nearly 60 lobbyists for cable, TV and cellphone companies are making an argument that it’s only fair that every service be taxed equally. Currently, various taxes and fees cover cable TV and phones but not satellite TV and internet video.
The resistance comes from legislators who oppose new taxes, consumers who would pay the tax and Dish TV, which doesn’t stand to benefit from government funding of rural internet since it already provides satellite-based online access to those areas. Before a similar digital tax proposal failed last year, Dish TV ran TV ads urging viewers to “Stop the Georgia TV tax!”
Meanwhile if you, as a viewer and service purchaser, ends up paying taxes for viewing hit bingeworthy shows, consider this:

It's got spirit, though.. that it does.

The series gone, but not forgotten.. Crazy Dave is still growing the garden!
EA chief operating and financial officer Blake Jorgenson announced to investors that new Plants vs. Zombies and Need for Speed games are in the works, due out by April 2020.“We’re making adjustments to improve execution and we’re refocusing R&D,” Jorgenson said in a news release attached to EA’s third-quarter fiscal 2019 earnings. “Looking forward, we’re delighted to launch Anthem, our new IP, to grow Apex Legends and related Titanfall experiences, to deliver new Plants vs. Zombies and Need for Speed titles, and to add Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to our sports titles in the fall.”
If you played much of Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, you may have some fond memories of the "fan favourite" Wall-nut Hills map — its the one with the mansion, park and pool and a treehouse. If the thought of playing on that map fills you with warmth, developer PopCap has a nice surprise in store for Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 players, as they've revealed on Twitter that it will be added to the game in the next update.
Marvel’s next big superhero movie is Captain Marvel, and unlike most of the franchise’s films, this one’s set in the 1990s. Accordingly, Marvel has launched a website that fits the timeframe, a throwback to web design of the era, complete with awkward animations, fonts, and colors.
I don't know why so much shade is thrown at 90s website.. they were cutting edge and inventive, they heralded in a new age of the net.. and yes, retro in a sense.. but in the modern age we crave it ..
Everything was awesome.. not so much for the second run!
According to Variety, The LEGO Movie 2 is still expected to top the box office at the end of this opening weekend, but with an estimated domestic gross of $31 million from 4,303 theaters.
If the movie does open at this dollar figure, it would amount to a 50% drop off of its 2014 debut..
It has been a number of years since that original film.. Kids who saw it grew up.. parents who saw it then stepped on enough legos to movie on..
While the film will still be the number 1 film of the weekend and make money, it's not what was hoped for..
There have been four LEGO movies in the current film franchise so far. For comparison, here are the domestic box office openings:
The LEGO Movie - 2014 - $69 million The LEGO Batman Movie - 2017 - $53 million The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part - 2019 - $31 million (estimate) The LEGO Ninjago Movie - 2017 - $20 million
