SOME SCIENTISTS WANT US TO STOP SENDING MESSAGES OUT TO SPACE

And it makes sense as to why.. If no one knows earth is here, this pale blue dot, why tell them? Why announce ourselves to potentially hostile beings from elsewhere? Why give a big blast of "HELLO UNIVERSE" to creatures that may want to simply enslave us or take our resources..?



This is the very real concern of some very real scientists.. The UK INDEPENDENT has the full story on the fear..

The basic gist: Leading scientists at SETI, that little place that has been searching for alien life for as long as I have been alive and then some, are proposing that we beam the signal we send out to the universe and direct it specifically at the potentially hospitable zones for life as Kepler has recently found.. In doing so, the hope would be that actual beings hear the message and either answer back, or I suppose travel here.. and destroy every living being on earth. Well, that is the fear at least..

The argument made by those who oppose: Evil alien intentions will be made easier by us, the dumb thumbs of the planet earth, letting them know all about us. It's the cosmic way, some may think ,of announcing on Facebook, "hey I'm going on vacation and I left my door open!"

Some leading scientists have pondered about this potential for a long time.. Steve Conner in the INDEPENDENT reminds us:

He is not alone in his concerns. Professor Stephen Hawking, the Cambridge cosmologist, warned in 2010 that humans should keep as silent as possible because alien civilisations may be attracted to Earth and have the technology to travel here and exploit its resources. “If aliens visit us, the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in America, which didn’t turn out well for the Native Americans,” he said

The BBC's Phallab Ghosh writes this,

Researchers at the Seti institute have been listening for signals from outer space for more than 30 years using radio telescope facilities in the US. So far there has been no sign of ET.

The organisation's director, Dr Seth Shostak, told attendees to the AAAS meeting that it was now time to step up the search.

"Some of us at the institute are interested in 'active Seti', not just listening but broadcasting something to some nearby stars because maybe there is some chance that if you wake somebody up you'll get a response," he told BBC News.

The concerns are obvious, but sitting in his office at the institute in Mountain View, California, in the heart of Silicon Valley, he expresses them with characteristic, impish glee.

Impish glee.. it's all impish glee until a fire storm of hell rains down on the planet earth by hostile beings from elsewhere--and they may be especially angry when they get here and I LOVE LUCY is simply a long memory of our television infancy..

It is an interesting concept.
One must first assume there's aliens among us, out there somewhere, who are poised and ready to either pounce on our faces or elevate us to a higher existence. I am sure like humans, good aliens and bad aliens abound.. But if we get unlucky and reach out to the wrong crowd first, our homes burn down and we're left to wonder why high paid scientists said 'hi' to begin with..

Of course all this worry could be for nothing.. even if an alien race got our message, they may be hardpressed to get here quickly.

Unless they are already here. . . like the Greys.

And we all know what they do..

When the entire world seems to ignore the plight of children abused by the elite, the only one left to turn to is Anonymous.

For those living in some sort of a hole--or just paying attention to the mainstream media that doesn't report these sorts of things--there is an ungodly scandal taking place in the UK..  Not only does it involve the still circulating and still being released details of the ghoulish Jimmy Saville, but also some other news of decades of abuse in Rotherham--abuse that was also covered up by anyone who could stop news of it coming out.

There are stories not only of intrigue and scandal, but also torture and abuse--and killing--of innocent children at the hands of the elite abusers.

And don't for a second think this is confined to the continents not where you are located.. here in the United States, a story seemingly swept under the rug is that of Jeffrey Epstein, the rich sex offender who may have provided underage women for a prince on his private island. He also had over 20 numbers for former President Bill Clinton--something I assure you Hillary won't want discussed before her aged bones decide to run for the highest office in the land next year.

The group, best known for high-profile computer hacks, has codenamed its latest task 'Operation Death Eaters' and is demanding an end to secrecy around abuse networks.

It says it will collect and then publish mass information on abuse scandals in the UK and around the world in the hope of ensuring people are fully aware of "paedo-sadist" abuse. 

The message is clear: Anonymous, the network known for exposing a number of embarrassing and sordid details about lots of people in power for lots of years, is aiming its Twitter feed at those who harm children. Dare I say this: Even those who, because of the mainstream media's ability to bias stories about Anonymous, may think they are about to set a course and agenda to do God's work on earth.

Someone has to.
And for decades--if not longer, no one has.

50 SHADES OF GREY is going to not only dominate the weekend box office, but there are hopes within the offices of Universal that a record could also be broken with the release of the sex-laden film in North American theaters..

The news so far, according to industry insiders: $30.2 mil Friday opening--that is a big number.. there is hope among corporate execs that it will reach or surpass $76 million for the week--and if that occurs a record could go down for a Valentine's opening.. by Monday, a federal holiday, there are predictions the movie will surpass $90 mil!

Lots of sex.
Popcorn.
Sweat..



The heat will likely continue in box offices throughout the rest of today, Sunday, and even Presidents' day, when instead of honoring past chief executives, people will be heavily breathing in dark theaters near you..

Imagine the scene: A naked herd or folks dancing while the sacrifice of animals takes place.. There are smiles and cheers, and hopes that the burning animals will get the gods to give the dancing nudes fertility.. Oh, and then while the crazy Romans would continue in their deadly pagan rituals, men would draw names from jars and, for the duration of the festival, be 'coupled' with them.

All of this is described in this 2011 NPR story authored by Anne Seipel.. It showcases some of the darker origins of Valentine's Day..

And just as Christians always took on pagan traditions to make them their own, the same occurred here as reported by Seipel:

The ancient Romans may also be responsible for the name of our modern day of love. Emperor Claudius II executed two men — both named Valentine — on Feb. 14 of different years in the 3rd century A.D. Their martyrdom was honored by the Catholic Church with the celebration of St. Valentine's Day.

Later, Pope Gelasius I muddled things in the 5th century by combining St. Valentine's Day with Lupercalia to expel the pagan rituals. But the festival was more of a theatrical interpretation of what it had once been. Lenski adds, "It was a little more of a drunken revel, but the Christians put clothes back on it. That didn't stop it from being a day of fertility and love."

Around the same time, the Normans celebrated Galatin's Day. Galatin meant "lover of women." That was likely confused with St. Valentine's Day at some point, in part because they sound alike.

Countless news bits from history showcase the reason for the season.. the Roman Festival of Lupercalia  is the heart of the whole thing, no pun intended. One highlight of the many things that occurred there: Two high-born young men stripped naked and sacrificed a dog and a goat. They smeared blood on their foreheads, then wiped it off with wool dipped in milk.. Sounds somewhat like the Bohemian Grove, don't you think?

I am a romantic at heart.. of course when you have a child, your romance takes a little bit of a back seat to the more practical parenting moments. But regardless, I still think love in the air is one of the most beautiful things ever--but Valentine's Day? Lust seems to be in the air.. fake emotions, and fake flowers.. the offensiveness of men ordering giant bouquets of flowers and sending it to women at work always made me chuckle at its ridiculousness. It's all for show--and more of a modern way of dancing to the gods of fertility..

Restaurants will be filled tonight with the hopeless dopes who will spend way too much money on a dinner they'd much sooner make themselves to save time and effort. But it's all about show..

Don't get me wrong. I like going out to dinner, too! But there's certain days to avoid restaurants. New Year's eve is one of them (made the mistake this year of partaking in highly priced bad food though) and Valentine's Day is the other..Mother's Day is the final avoid all restaurants at all costs day, especially if you work at one!

One GMO apple will spoil the bunch

Imagine an apple that never browns.. Never seems real. Perhaps never tastes real.. just a vacant, emotionless apple.

Despite a big push against it, the first GMO apple in the United States was just given FDA approval. Safe to eat they say!

At this point, I don't have an opinion.. Everything has become so GMO related, it's tough to even care about it.. Fight MONSANTO and their weed killers? You're fighting an uphill battle.. The real battle is just to find your source of good, healthy, and viable organic foods.. The challenge may be difficult, but regardless of FDA approvals and certifications of safety, I still think eating a fresh and healthy bin of apples from organic growth is better than a chemically enhanced specimen that never grows brown.

But that's just me..

Reuters reports:

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) approved two genetically engineered apple varieties designed to resist browning that have been developed by the Canadian company Okanagan Specialty Fruits Inc.

Okanagan plans to market the apples as Arctic Granny and Arctic Golden, and says the apples are identical to their conventional counterparts except the flesh of the fruit will retain a fresh appearance even after it is sliced or bruised.

Only hours ago the USGS said a 6.8 magnitude quake struck near Ukraine. Russia said it didn't, and then the USGS followed with a retraction..

Until I saw—quite literally—a black cat walk underneath a ladder this morning, I completely forgot the calender read Friday the 13th..

So for all of those out there with that sick sense of doom lurking behind every bad event, happy day to you all..

In 2004, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC detailed the horror that some people face when they wake up on the 13th when it’s on a Friday.. the fear.. the refusal to even get out of bed!  In that report 11 years ago, NAT GEO said that over $800 mil was lost in productivity because of people neglecting to live their normal lives, instead fearing the 13th..

I would imagine that fear is only amplified as time goes on..

After 24 hours of fans in confusion and anger, Art Bell has reversed course from last night and is again posting messages as though his return is back on the rails..

With little substantive information vein revealed at this time, it's unsure as to the potential fix this may have over his alsmot decisive tone last night that DARK MATTER may not happen at all.. This more hopeful note of course comes with a caveat..

Perhaps Bell is just informing his fans of progress.. Maybe trying to gain more attention and interest in a return.. Or just shoots from the hip and thinks later ..

Only 24 goes ago, Bellgab users and others online were actively saying they 'quit Art Bell.' Tonight the tune has changed--and perhaps now there is a course for Bell to return to some kind of airwaves in July and play his own tunes as well...

Art Bell scrubs DARK MATTER RADIO plans? Bumper music is the reason

I have some very sad news to report, barring some sort of miracle there will be NO Dark Matter Radio show. Here is why: I will be unable to use ANY Bumper music, I will be unable to use any Theme music. The cost of using even the small amount that I use in my show stops us cold. Both Keith and I have talked this to death and there is no way around it.

Yes I could do the show with no music but I will not because it was part of the very soul of my show as any of my former listener's know. I feel like crying to be honest with you. Keith and me along with others have poured time and money into this effort. I was about to spend $20,000.00 on just the Studio here in Pahrump. We had also cleared free streaming just as I had promised. The ..bottom line is that the music Industry has in my opinion shot themselves in the foot by making it impossible for anybody in my position to stream or provide any copyrighted music on the Web. That is why nobody, even Rush will do it. I am so sorry. If anything changes I will be right back on it. Just sad.

THE PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH NEVER CLEANED UP AFTER A POWWOW

This is a story from my local area–but worthy of some attention from fans of the macabre or slightly paranormal..

In Auburn, PA, a tiny little hamlet in Schuylkill County, a secret existed behind the walls of a quaint house..

FOX 43 ran a story about the Bretzius and their discovery of a disturbing secret behind their walls: It was insulated with dead animals..

WNEP interviewed the family .. as expected, Kaiji Bretzius was a little shocked and horrified by what was hidden in their home..

We were shocked, horrified, and disgusted

Fair to say that would be the emotional of us would experience if faced with the same circumstances, no?

WNEP’s  Jackie de Tore goes on to report more:

The mother of four said they first found animals in the walls back in 2012 and have been removing the items ever since.
The dead animals were all wrapped in old newspapers from the 1930s and 40s.
She said when they got a home inspection before they bought the place in Auburn, the inspector didn’t find a thing.
“We got the radon inspection. We looked for everything. We didn’t know to look for chickens.”
The family said when they bought the house in 2011, it was their dream home because they weren’t going to have to do any work, but now that’s all they’ve been doing.

Insurance isn’t covering the situation since the corpses of the animals were there long before this family bought what they thought would be their dream house.

A dream became a nightmare according to their account. They aren’t sure if all the dead animals are out..

Various reports indicate that the animals were most likely placed there because of the old Pennsylvania Dutch tradition of pow-wowing–an American folk and magic belief held by the Dutch in the Keystone state decades ago, taking from even older traditions that link back to Germany..

So what a tale! Witch doctors and powwows.. the Dutch. Home ownership. Undoubtedly a perogie and sausage sandwich will show up sooner or later..

But there are some not buying it.

The family has chosen to begin a GO FUND ME campaign to raise more money to get more dead animals from out behind the walls.. but at least a few viewers of WNEP and readers of the article aren’t believing the tale..

Get freakin real! Mold? There is NO WAY, NO HOW in the WORLD, mold will be caused from a dried up old carcass from the 1930s-1940s. There’s no moisture there. There wouldn’t even be a smell. Creepy? GoFundMe? How about this: go after whatever home inspector who didn’t do his job, or the previous owners who didn’t disclose the Dead Animal Insulation. Asking for handouts is so damned cocky.

Someone should do a fundraiser to help remove the bones and spices. Maybe a few of the hunting clubs, wait, wait, I know……….THEY COULD SELL T-SHIRTS………

This was actually my aunt and uncle’s house. They lived there for close to 50 years before it was sold, but they did move in it after the critters would have been put in the walls and I can honestly say that they had no clue that any of this was there. I visited there many times growing up and they raised 4 boys and we never were sick or noticed odd smells. It must have been exposed when the walls were ripped out in construction.

Regardless of a few ‘spicy’ comments–powwow pun certainly intended there–the Go Fund Me campaign is already raising some cash..  The story is also making some national news now that various other ABC and FOX affiliates are picking it up.

You’re used to ads in regular TV programming, but what would you say if your smart TV started inserting ads into videos you own?

If people are creeped out by this, they must have missed last week’s big news that SAMSUNG is warning purchasers of smart TVs that they should not have personal conversations in front of the device for fear that third party advertisers will get a hold of it..

It should all be creepy..

I can foresee one day coming soon—very soon since it seems to be going so fast lately—when you’ll be watching a home video of you in your private setting.. and your “SMART” device will note a product in the house. Perhaps a beer can, Pepsi bottle, or particular cereal.. suddenly you’ll be beamed an advertising lallapalooza ..

Until then, people will lament their smart TEEVEES..

And still buy them.

At some point soon I feel this will be commonplace---devices throughout a house will be so interconnected that there will not be a way to stop any of it. Our fridge will have a screen to advertise the products within.. our car will remind us to get gas and a coffee at the nearest location.. As we drive down highways we will be greeted with voice ads informing us of how much we 'want' and desire certain products.

We are for sale.
But the only thing not being taken into consideration: We will not have jobs. Robots will sweep us from just about every task we do.

Until then there, it is all fair game. We are for sale.
Your TV is watching you. And then some.

 

Brian Williams suspended; Jon Stewart stepping down: Which one is the bigger item?

Did news just die today?
Brian Williams was suspended after a number of days of intrigue.. He lied about a helicopter in Iraq years ago. He also is being doubted over his tales of Katrina of watching bodies float through the street ... And now, six months from now when Americans will undoubtedly be baking under a late summer sun, we will see if NBC NEWS really brings back the anchor..

He may be forgiven.
He may be forgotten..
It also may give more time to the sleuths online who will notate any other potential lie that Williams may have uttered over the past lifetime we've all shared together.

However, a bigger event may have occurred today. Jon Stewart announced on the DAILY SHOW that he is going to step down at the end of this year--he hosted the program since 1999 and has become one of the most influential comedians in history. Not just because the DAILY SHOW has been filled with memorable humor, but also because he has become the Cronkite of our age..

He is trusted more than Williams and company.. countless Americans get their news from the DAILY SHOW each night or in snippets online the day after. His jokes are hard hitting.. they are important.. they are also game changing, often able to pinpoint hypocrisy not only within the ruling class but also within media as well. Jon Stewart brought humor back after 9/11 in a massive way.  He was the only person on television at the time who was noticing the inaccuracies in the Bush Administration during the runup to the Iraq war. After the war started, he was the sole survivor of truth on TV, giving people a humorous blend of soundbites and lies. All with a smile--but beneath the smile was the frown of truth and the exposure of emperors without clothing.

Brian Williams played a game. He lived in an act--one where he seemingly wanted to place himself in important events only to massage his own ego and inflate his own importance. He was caught. And caught up in a web of lies. With his Twitter account vanquished of all recent memory, the memory hole will have to be accessed. Undoubtedly people will still find more inconsistencies. It's a surety..

It's somewhat ironic, perhaps, that both Williams and Stewart made news today; Williams faked his way through teleprompter reading while Stewart wrote the material that would tuck Americans in each night. They could rest assured that while the world was in flames and turmoil, at least there's a way to laugh about it all..  There was much more truth on THE DAILY SHOW than anything else on the evening newscast..

Only days ago, Stewart even offered a hard hitting joke about Williams' potential demise:

Finally — someone is being held to account for misleading America about the Iraq War.

 

And how true that is.. The amount of those playing war drums are much more important than anything Williams did. But they aren't questioned much.. instead they show up years later as 'experts' on major networks.. With talking heads reading friendly questions in a corporate news environment.

Thank God we had the DAILY SHOW.
And I pray we still will..

I got to like Brian Williams when I was just 16 years old watching him anchor live coverage of Flight TWA 800.  During his coverage it was entertained that a missile hit the plane...



The record of history, of course, didn't speak of a missile. Though conspiracy theories still abound about Flight 800, the memory hole was carefully filled in with the dirt of 'official' truth..

Perhaps there is some weird confidential consideration to make.. a missile hitting an airline in 1996, and they say it didn't happen.. Williams in a helicopter in the early 2000s saying a rocket propelled grenade hit, but it didn't..

Tonight the news died.
But not because of Williams and his verbal missteps.
Instead because the real newsman of our time left one of the last remaining vestiges of truth in our time..

 

PRESIDENTIAL SWEATS

I’m not the only one who noticed an unsettling image of a sweaty Obama last night.. A lot of people watched a very sweaty and strange looking Commander in Chief give a message to the GRAMMY Awards audience last night about domestic violence..

Twitter was alive with comments about Barack Obama’s odd appearance.. Lots of people saw the sweat piling up on his brow ..

Matt Drudge did too.. Of course he took it a step further pondering if Obama knows ‘something terrible’ is on the way ..Though I still think the 2009 phase of flies being attracted to Obama was much creepier..

APPARENTLY THEY EVEN LOOK LIKE SMALL TACTICAL NUCLEAR STRIKES WHEN THEY FALL IN UKRAINE..

THE GIGANTIC BLAST THAT ROCKED DONETSK, UKRAINE, APPARENTLY WAS AT A CHEMICAL PLANT. VIDEOS SHOWING THE GIGANTIC EXPLOSION WERE BEING SHARED ON SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITES AND INTERNET FORUMS, WITH SOME CLAIMING IT WAS SMALL, “TACTICAL NUKE.” “THIS WAS CAUSED BY A DROPPED CIGARETTE BUTT,” THE UKRAINE ARMY’S ANTI-TERRORIST OPERATION SPOKESMAN, ANDREY LYSENKO, SAID, ACCORDING TO RUSSIAN STATE BROADCASTER RT.COM. “ACCIDENTS OFTEN HAPPEN IN FACTORIES WHERE NO ONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR FIRE SAFETY. WELL, IT’S CHAOS, AND THEY ARE BARBARIANS.” »

This is quite the swerve in the information department..

She is currently getting an average of 10 victims a week coming to her for help.
Fighting back tears she told how she feared having a nervous breakdown worried about failing the “amazing women” and her horror after finding out a manual for grooming existed for paedophiles.

This has been ongoing for some time.. Five months ago, I had a post about this when news broke that UK politicians failed to stop the crimes against children in Rotherham that went on for almost two decades..

The UK seems to be the place of perversion as of late.. Not long ago Jimmy Saville’s disgusting image was gracing lots of publications each time a new tidbit of perversion was revealed to the public about his life and ability to molest without much ado..

This new MIRROR article detailed more:

“It feels like the Government is leaving Rotherham to die. It feels like we’re not on their doorstep so it doesn’t matter.”
She welcomed experts coming into Rotherham to help them but said the Government should have stepped in after the Jay Report, six months ago.
“We would have been able to move forward as a town much quicker,” she said.
“There are hundreds of thousands and I think there could be up to a million victims of exploitation nationwide, including right now. Girls in the process of being groomed,” she said.
“I have met people from all over the country.
“If you just think we know at least four big cases each with a couple of thousand each in smallest towns. It’s extraordinary.
“I was talking to sixth formers on Monday and all of the girls there had either personal or direct experience of people trying to manipulate them through sexting. You have online grooming.

This is a photo screen grab from a video making big waves on YouTube tonight.. Some are saying is evidence of a tactical nuclear weapon being used in Ukraine.. Others say it’s evidence if a chemical weapons plant being hit..

Some speculate it’s a nuke . Others say it’s just a big big blast..

All things are sketchy right now and rumors are sort if insane..

I keep thinking back to that nuclear clock moving closer to midnight..

The sad reality of nostalgia: It really does not feel good

Nostalgia is a terrible feeling at times.. It reminds you that you are losing time, giving away minutes. Precious minutes.. Allowing the second hand to dictate your existence..

The smell of certain things, the sounds.. The cold at night under a moon.. Fog on a a warm evening.. All I those things bring back very specific memories or me. More accurately, they bring back feelings..
They bring with them a melancholy and infinite sadness.

Don’t get me wrong.. I enjoy my current state if existence quite a lot. But those creeping moments of yesteryear occurrences are becoming more pronounced.. The thoughts of life as it goes gets a little more fire. More serious..

Youth is drying up.. Sure 34 is the new 19. But that’s only because people say that when they age..

There’s a memory I have of a foggy night in a dance club in Allentown PA.. A night I danced with the woman who years later would became my wife. My wife who birthed our son.. Our family who is growing together with the pains , laughs, and trivial concerns that life brings..
And the clock ticks away. I swear it gets louder as time goes by..
Nostalgia..
All of this may sound a bit glum for a Friday night.. But that’s just me sometimes.. Some have a green thumb. I have a glum thumb..
Nostalgia.

As crazed and sad as I may sound, I know you feel the same way too.

Poltergeist then and now

A few months ago, I introduced the classic film POLTERGEIST to someone younger in my family.. She was born in the late 1990s and did not have a notion of pop culture of the 1980s or the reason the Stephen Spielberg film changed everything. I really played the movie up to her, as well. I mentioned the spooky scenes, the scary clown, the bizarre tiny psychic, and the tree that came to life during a thunderstorm. By the time she had made it through the movie she was unimpressed.. It wasn’t scary compared to the compelling gory snuff films of today. And among the horror of our modern world, you can find a few gems, don’t get me wrong. But I still find the original POLTERGEIST compelling, deeply frightening, and yet amazingly beautiful and a story about how love perseveres.

Enter into the fray the newest incarnation, or should I say reincarnation, from Hollywood: Poltergeist is back. With iPhones and flatscreens.. no fuzzy TVs in this version.

I saw the trailer a bit ago for the film. Every fiber in my being wanted to hate the remake. I wanted to loathe the trailer.. But I ended up being a little more enthusiastic about it than I imagined myself to be..



There’s a few things to contemplate here.. The 1980s’ version was amazing because it took on the ‘feeling’ of pop culture of the 1980s and made it the very essence of the film.. take for example the television set going to fuzz after the nightly NATIONAL ANTHEM played.. That scene, more than anything, constantly stuck with my as I grew up. Because I recalled the time when TV did that–when channels signed off for the day and networks would give people their Star Spangled Banner, complete with the video featuring lots of creepy subliminal messages. Beyond that, there’s the nostalgic feeling I still get when I watch the original movie.. There’s something deeply troubling, now as a parent, thinking about the loss the main characters were feeling during the film. And then the amazing miracle of love bringing them back together at the end. This movie is as much a drama as it is a horror. Spielberg created an immense classic..

So while I figure nothing will ever diminish his work with this movie, the newest trailer put me in a much different place than what I assumed I’d be in after watching it..

Let me first say, I dislike remakes for the most part. The Rob Zombie HALLOWEEN films were simply trash worthy of a garbage heap.. the newest NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET had no meaning in my life.. Sometimes there’s a score but for the most part it’s Hollywood rehashing old ideas and attempting to get some street cred with the use of modern gadgets and phrases.

While I think the new POLTERGEIST may still do that, I sort of changed my tune when it comes to this movie.

I think this generation needs that ‘pop culture’ fit .. I think it needs a film that one day, when they go back and watch, they too will become nostalgic for the 2000 teens. Maybe this movie will do it. It could, and it should.. If it sticks to the Speilberg concept of keeping a family together with love, ensuring the triumph of good over evil, and reinforcing the notion that you don’t busy yourself conjuring up demons under your bed, then it may have an impact.

There are a few notable things in the trailer. First off, the use of a flat screen TV is an obvious thing.. no more big giant boxed versions with antennas on. The is the new world.. There will be more cellphones and technology will be showcased–just as it was in the original .. What seems missing is the enigmatic 4-foot-tall psychic Tangina Barrons.. Maybe we will have a new memorable character in the latest..

There is debate within circles of fanboys and horror sites as to whether this movie will be a kids’ story or an R-rated horror.. back in January, there were rumors that this movie was going to be a 3D family friendly child abduction film *(if that is possible)*.. But the new trailer looks a bit more intense than a family friendly film.. The inclusion of a clown makes it even more worthwhile of horror..Even BLOODY DISGUSTING thinks the trailer looks ‘bonkers’ ..

Time will tell as the who will be happy seeing this movie and who will not be.
But as far as remakes go, POLTERGEIST may finally be one I deem worthy of viewing.

In the mean time, I went back in time and found the original trailer for POLTERGEIST in 1982.
I dare stay no matter what Hooper and company do in 2015, nothing will ever defeat the classic or the theme song, one of the scariest and yet most beautiful scores ever written:
