Numerous repeated signals are being sent through the universe to Earth, scientists say.
Researchers have detected eight repeating blasts of energy, or fast radio bursts (FRB), that have been picked up on Earth by telescopes.
The discovery could mark a major breakthrough for researchers as they attempt to discover the source of the mysterious signals.
Scientists found the first FRB in 2007, and have found dozens since. But they have only confirmed two that repeat.
Repeating FRBs are so valuable because they offer researchers the opportunity to predict where they might come from, and study them in more detail. As such, discovering eight more repeating bursts could provide huge value to the researchers who are attempting to find where the bursts are coming from.
That source could be surprisingly close. The researchers suggest that one of the bursts could be coming from a galaxy that neighbours own Milky Way – though caution that further work will need to be done to discover more about the bursts.

Apple and Samsung phones released over the last three years may be producing radio frequency radiation at levels higher than current Federal Communications Commission limits allow, according to a report by the Chicago Tribune.
Scientists and consumers have shown increasing concern that radio frequency radiation from our devices may have adverse effects on human health, especially with 5G rolling out across the globe. The new report demonstrates that older phone models, operating in the 3G and 4G bands, have the potential to exceed the FCC’s safe limits by up to as much as five times..

The JOKER film with Joaquin Phoenix is coming in early October… Fans are eagerly looking forward to the season of the witch clown..
But where did Phoenix get the inspiration? Not Heath Ledger.. but reality..
In a new interview with Italian magazine Il Vernerdi (via The Playlist), the actor revealed that he studied victims of PLC (Pathological Laughter or Crying), to craft his take on The Joker’s evil laugh.
“I saw videos showing people suffering from pathological laughter, a mental illness that makes mimicry uncontrollable,” the actor explained. The incredibly unfunny disease causes involuntary laughter or crying, usually separate from any kind of conventional trigger.
