Unforgiving sinkholes don't care how expensive your cars are..

I first admit this: I did not know there was a Corvette Museum.

Now I do.. I apologize to the car aficionados who will berate me for my lack of in depth knowledge  of the classic midlife crisis car..

The reason is tragic, though, at least if you like cars and the crust of the planet earth. 

It appears that a large sinkhole has swallowed 8 vehicles at the museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky..

The sinkhole is reported to be as wide as 40 feet and as deep as 30 feet or more.. *8 cars are not in it, including the following:

1993 ZR-1 Spyder on loan from General Motors
2009 ZR1 “Blue Devil” on loan from General Motors
1962 Black Corvette
1984 PPG Pace Car
1992 White 1 Millionth Corvette
1993 Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Corvette

And another amazing possibility: Just imagine free flowing water on Mars. That would be a discovery that would change so much.. And now the NASA Mars orbiter has sent back photos showing a possibility that Mars does IN FACT have free flowing water. NASA has yet to comment that there in fact is water moving.. Some have long believed that water is moving freely on the red planet.. They may have been right.

But one thing Mars does not have: 12+ inches of snow coming ..

The real Zak Bagans of GHOST ADVENTURES fame tweeted an interesting sneak peak concerning the opening episode for the new season of his ghost hunting show: He said:

For those under a rock or people who ignore the paranormal affairs of the planet earth, Zak Bagans purchased the ‘demon house’  of Latoya Ammons in Indiana.. The house in the city of Gary was supposedly the location where a flare up of evil activity took place, along with a series of exorcisms.. 

Bagans purchased the house last month, and obvious from his tweet concerning the upcoming episode, has made it the subject of the first show. 

Last week, the HORROR REPORT reported that the priest involved with the alleged exorcisms, Michael Maginot, signed a movie deal to bring the story to the big screen .. It helped bring my first doubts of the Ammons story. There are constantly earthquakes in California. Under the feet of Californians. And Hollywood.

But what secured my attention in this article was the statement by Anthony Guarino, a seismologist at Caltech. The LA TIMES reports on the obvious, but yet eye opening nonetheless:

The region remains overdue for a massive quake. The southern section of the San Andreas Fault, which starts near the Salton Sea and runs north to Palmdale, has historically caused a large earthquake every 150 years on average. It has not ruptured since 1680.

“There is a very high probability that it will rupture in our lifetime or our children’s lifetime,” Guarino said.

“We use these small quakes as a reminder: You need to be prepared with a week’s worth of food and water and have a plan of action,” he said. “Don’t run outside, don’t get in the doorway. Drop, cover and hold on to something.”

There are so many things we are never prepared for.

And the prospects that one day, during our lifetime or that of our kids, the Hollywood sign may fall down a mountain due to a seismic shift, is pretty downright scary.

There’s little we can do to prepare for such an event when we have built our lives, and nuclear plants, on the fault lines of the planet.

It’s just bound to occur.

We hope not during our lifetimes.. But by hoping that, we curse our children to have to deal with the catastrophic nightmare themselves…

A major case of the Mondays.. a major news dump to go along with it..

This is a world where chaos reigns supreme.. where goodness sometimes is much more silent that evil. And where war is everything but there's never a drop to drink.. Here's headlines and news bits from around the world--and beyond..

Politicians always famously call the United States a 'young nation' .. they say the best days are ahead.. they say we are bright and energetic. And they have obviously been ignoring the changing demographics.. The United States is increasingly aging and because of that it's heading for a disaster..

While very few in the world have given attention to the Central African Republic (let alone Africa), there are some major signs of chaos .. The latest in the lynching of a Christian man by Muslims.. the group of Muslims confronted him and threw him into a ditch before slitting his throat..


This is getting to be a little chilling--less like a mystery novel and more like a disaster movie.. If you've been following the HORROR REPORT, you know that there has been some very weird banker deaths over the past two weeks--London suicides and nail guns to the head.. Now this: Three deaths and a missing reporter are all tied to finance and Wall Street investigations.. And in one instance, concerning the 'suicide of Gabriel Magee (the banker who jumped off a building in London), his parents aren't buying it.. as a matter of fact they are going to London to find out how an employee obtains access to the rooftop of the most highly secure building in London.


Palmyra PA continues to be the sinkhole capitol of the state.. this time a sinkhole that opened severely damaged a business..


A world where we all wear stretchable and conformal electronics .. It's really not far away and we are being told the skin chips would be for 'peace of mind' .. While some may herald it as the mark of the beast, as with any form of technology, there will be benefits. The cost-benefit calculation should be done, though.. because the mark of the beast angle may far outweigh the goodness that comes with skin implantable chip devices..

I remember listening to Ian Punnett on Coast to Coast AM had a few shows on the Smiley Face killers.. (The term given to a series of strange deaths of college males, the term 'smiley face killers' was later disregarded as something not having anything to do with the deaths) .. I recalled those shows when I read the headline about a missing Ohio college student named David Hallman III ..he was found in Erie, Pennsylvania, frozen to death. the report indicated that he fell asleep outside.. That I found eerie over the Erie find was this: While he was not found near water, as the deaths of the Punnett shows documented, he was a member of the college swimming team.. For some reason that just struck me. And God or collective consciousness be with the family now grieving his loss..


If you're not sick of the winter yet in the Northeast, you may just about to grab some plane tickets and quickly leave your state.. A few weather sites, including The Weather Space, seem to be talking about a March 1993-like super storm set to ravage the East Coast.. The storm is set to bring dangerous ice.. Major weather website have yet to predict such a disastrous monster blizzard, but the chances seem to be increasing for a snowstorm for lots of people. Like millions of them.

The power outages in Pennsylvania could last several more days..


It's not just the United States. . Britain has been bashed by yet another hurricane-like storm from the Atlantic.. It is so bad, the Thames has reached record levels and the levels of flooding are being called biblical.. Prime Minister Cameron is stunned as he wades through high waters..

If you're not sick of the winter yet in the Northeast, you may just about to grab some plane tickets and quickly leave your state.. A few weather sites, including The Weather Space, seem to be talking about a March 1993-like super storm set to ravage the East Coast.. The storm is set to bring dangerous ice.. Major weather website have yet to predict such a disastrous monster blizzard, but the chances seem to be increasing for a snowstorm for lots of people. Like millions of them.

The power outages in Pennsylvania could last several more days..


It's not just the United States. . Britain has been bashed by yet another hurricane-like storm from the Atlantic.. It is so bad, the Thames has reached record levels and the levels of flooding are being called biblical.. Prime Minister Cameron is stunned as he wades through high waters..

The famed legend of the skinwalker is fast becoming a trend online.. There has been a frightening photo quickly going viral online of what purports to be a skinwalker in New Mexico--a state where many still believe in that Native American creature..

There are a few facts that cause me to truly doubt the the validity of this story.. about the photo is that the person who posted it has since taken it down--to late with how the Internet functions, of course.. According to New Mexico local news affiliate KRQE, the New Mexican posted the image but does not know the source of it..

But the most important fact: The photograph looks pretty much like an image from the 1983 movie XTRO.

But the other amazing part: Truth and reality also do, too.. there's millions of people who believe urban legends and lies, but a lot more who work hard to constantly debunk those myths.

Shia LeBeouf is acquiring some headlines today, not because of his new film NYMPHOMANIAC, but instead due to his weird behavior at a press conference in Berlin.. According to the reports of the event, he answered only one question before becoming angry and walking off the stage.  He apparently was thinner and was missing a tooth, reports say..

You can see the video of it here.. One report indicated that his co-stars were clapping, other reports say that Christian Slater and Uma Thurman looked "stunned"..   However, the video appears to show them clapping and smiling as LeBouf left in a huff..

His eerie comments made, as he walked out after gulping a large drink of water:

When the seagulls follow the trawler, it’s because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea. Thank you very much

A night time surprise attack..

Allow me to tell a bit of a personal tale from last night..

When you know your child is sick, it’s a tough time to sleep. When you don’t know you’re child is about to have food not agree with him and , at 3am when he asks to come in your bed, vomit all over your face and pillow? That’s a Pearl Harbor type attack.. One mothers and fathers cannot prepare for. No advanced warning.. no gurgles.. no hiccups. Just all out warfare on your bed sheets deep in the night.

That is how things transpired in HORROR REPORT home base last night.. Little Ayden Morris decided that he'd wait until he was sleeping with mom and dad before he let his stomach expand and eventually deflate as regurgitation exited..
I am certainly not trying to disgust you on your Sunday morning sidewalk, or vomit on your parade so to speak, but it was just one of those nights.. And today is just one of those sleepy days.

So, Art Bell and John Wells fans who found my website over the past few days due to some high profile links, welcome aboard. Sometimes I talk about my parenting.. sometimes I talk about my son. And yes, sometimes I talk about vomit.. Pure awful disgusting vomit.
It's all horrific, after all..

 But riddle me this, fellow parents or parents to be, and readers alike: Why do these things—and so many other occurrences—always seem to take place at the witching hour of 3am?

Looking back, it's when my wife found out her mother passed away. It's when my parents found out my grandmother did, too.. It's when sickness happens, when dreams wake you up, and when bumps in the night seem to grow louder and more intense.
And it's when toddlers find themselves in bad situations, too..

The midpoint of the night? I am sure there's just a coincidental reasoning that so many bad things happen at 3am?
I'm sure you've experienced such coincidences, too..
