It feels a bit like we are moving into uncharted territory for our generation.. A time where disease and pestilence plague the landscape.. a time when the young eat the old, and where the demons inhabit the most innocent people and places on the planet.

This is the new world..
A ravaged population..

The Halloween season upon us again, and yet again there are things taking place in the real world that make the symbols of the season of the witch look tame. Images of Thomas Eric Duncan's family after his death, and now a new nurse infected--with up to 70 other hospital workers deep in the heart of Texas coming in contact with the dying Duncan before he succumbed to his fate on earth..

The United States and Europe are attracting the majority of headlines--amazing since they have the vast minority of cases. Nonetheless, they want to keep it that way. Budget cuts over the past few years may make that difficult to do.. Lawmakers are now rushing to fund anything they can throw money at to keep Ebola at bay. At least until the November election passes and it doesn't turn into a November insurrection.

But here is the problem: We are a free-flowing population of billions of people. Airfare happens. And with it comes sickness, as we saw from the Duncan case.  The WHO is warning us that air travel may even become more dangerous--even if that is implied. the WHO said that there is strong evidence that the Ebola epidemic in Africa is still spreading. The number of cases in West Africa will exceed 9000 this year.. This plague of the people has gone on for months now, and there are some signs that the hardest hit areas are seeing less cases. On the flipside: There are more prefectures and districts coming in contact with Ebola..

The other problem may be the underreporting of cases on the African continent.

The media isn't helping.
Their focus has solely been on the spread of Ebola to nations that are not in Africa. That is typical of their journalistic style but not doing anything to address the root cause of the problem or find solutions so future epidemics don't happen. The ignorance of Africa is appalling. On many levels. Even from me.. I took a quiz on JetPunk days ago and had to take a long look in the mirror. My least strong continent was Africa. We don't hear about it from our news sources unless there is a 'strange' or bizarre story that only reinforces the images that the Western world has of the land.. That has not done anything to help this Ebola situation.

When the disease began to ravage, instead of completely ignoring information, the media should have been quick to report it.

I recall the 1990s outbreak.. Ebola always felt like it was 'there.'  Though I go back in memory and recall old Art Bell shows in which he was worried Ebola would break out here, things were not nearly as close together as now.

Now.. no screening for Ebola takes place at airports, but hands are quickly down pants of every age to sniff out the shoe bomber .. even though the shoe bomber had a well dressed man helping him on board. I digress...

Now, as Halloween approaches, we are forced to deal with a potential outbreak. At this point, it appears that the fear is catching on quicker than the actual plague. That could change, though.. especially if 70 people handled the blood, sweat, vomit, and tears of Mr. Duncan. Seventy people can multiply like wildfire.. Breed like rabbits.. and hop from continent to continent.

EBOLA is not just 'there' in one of those countries run by warlords on a continent far away. It's here. And it could be everywhere..

Maybe this is a lesson: The next time that a disease breaks out among poor indigenous people someone on the planet, the media should pay attention, report, and realize that we are all connected. Not only by plane, train, and automobile, but in spirit. And for that, the media owes it to other humans just to report their plight--before it takes flight.

This seems to be more of a Halloween tale than news story, but it is being reported by the AP. It's fact..

Perhaps a part of the problem: Box fans were the only method of cooling the home.. But there are two mysteries: A 5-year-old who lived in the house alerted neighbors--apparently up to three days after the death. The mother of the children is in jail.. She is being released early to be with her kids..

However…there’s always a critic. And in this situation, one I that I agree with. This from the famed “FOOD BABE” online:



As far as marketing: McDonalds is doing it because they have suffered greatly with the free flow of critical information online. Wage scandals, food problems, and all the rest.. They seemingly have decided to go on the offensive and change the game plan.

I think if they continue to roll out answers in this form, with an aggressive media campaign and slick advertising, they will succeed. But the most important question, as the Food Babe is asking, need to be answered…

But while I am typically negative by default, I am actually a bit hopeful that this latest experiment could have good results. Maybe, just maybe, the corporation—and others who follow a successful campaign—will begin to listen to consumers and actually get rid of the nonsense and chemicals that have no place in food, or purpose..

This can be contrived as a threat, say some. A scare.. a gag .. While I don’t pretend there is anything paranormal about it, this time of year brings with it creepy winds and frightening darkness..

Enter this story: California police are busy fielding complaints of creepy clowns. We’ll let REUTERS do the talking on the facts of the strange accounts:

Reports of creepy clowns carrying knives and other weapons have been scaring people in the California city of Bakersfield for the past week, police said on Sunday.

In the latest incident, a person telephoned the Bakersfield Police Department on Saturday night, reporting a clown armed with a firearm, said watch commander Lieutenant Jason Matson.

"We’ve been having sightings all over the city," Matson said. "They range from anywhere from a guy carrying a gun to a guy carrying a knife running up to houses."

The Bakersfield Californian newspaper reported earlier in the week that at least some of the reports were hoaxes. Matson said he did not know whether the incidents were pranks.

Sharon Bernstein goes on to write,

At least one of the reports was not a hoax - police arrested a teen on Friday who had dressed up as a clown and was chasing children on the west side of town, Matson said. The juvenile, whose name was not released, said he was doing it to perpetrate a hoax he had seen online.

He was arrested on suspicion of annoying a minor and booked into the Kern County Juvenile Hall, Bakersfield police said in a news release.

A child who had been chased “was clearly scared,” the release said.

That’s not it, either.

This clown was sitting on a park bench. He is just one of the many people dressing like clowns showing up in the area.. His name is WASCO. And he is followed by many people on Instagram—including a friend of mine.

He looks as harmless as any other clown—the Pennywise outfit and the terrible dark facade of a death face..

Wasco is finding fame. There are dozens of stories online now about him roaming the night streets—and with a link tonight on the DRUDGE REPORT, chances are his Instagram following may increase in size.

What I frankly don’t understand is this: Why are officials and police trying to find Wasco? He did not commit a crime.. he also did not get accused of committing a crime. His only sin: Dressing as a frightening clown late at night.

The media is playing up Wasco a bit, though.. The headline from NEWSCHANNEL 4 is enough to scare anyone: "NO LAUGHING MATTER: CREEPY CLOWNS TERRORIZE CITY."

The NEWSCHANNEL reports this:

Barker Park is one of the many places this clown has been spotted. One child said he was chased by the clown through Barker with an ax. A Kern County Sheriff’s Deputy says they’ve gotten reports of a clown committing crimes in the area, but so far, the claims are unfounded

….before we believe a child saying that a horrific clown chased him through the streets with an ax, we should double and triple check the facts.

And just look at WASCO, you think he’d do something like that?

Imaginations are roaring. And the fun of it rests in that premise. Teenagers walking through the streets at night, guided by a flashlight, looking for the latest creepy bit of pop culture in their area. A clown, with a frown..

Wasco now has the spotlight. He’s the showstopper.. the bright lights of the media glare are now shining on his makeup and attire. Wasco, the floor is yours.. Your timing is hot: OCTOBER. Halloween breezes blowing and leaves flowing.. a clown is roaming. No better time than the present to be alive. And dressed as a dead walker..

 

Cautionary tales of Halloween danger

When you mess with the season of the witch, you often get the horns..

There are some who deeply believe that Halloween inspires the dark command, that the paranormal is real and the spirits of demons or the ghostly realm that exists briefly enters our own reality.

With that said, there are cautionary tales of danger and doom this season.. Two separate events over the weekend may be enough to propel those who already fear this time if year to become even more true to their beliefs..

1 is dead and 20 are injured as a Halloween hayride went berserk in Maine. A 17-year-old was killed when the hayride wagon at Gauntlet Haunted Night Ride overturned and slammed into a tree.. Brake failure is being blamed for the scene of real horror..

In Idaho,  a man was killed by a bus at a zombie attraction in a corn maze.. The bus was carrying paintball players. When the man was struck, some thought it was part of the attraction..

Be careful out there.
Avoid corn mazes.
And hay rides.
I always do.
Especially in October.

 

SATANIC PANIC, PART 2: THE WITCHES’ BREW

There are reports that witchcraft related child abuse is on the rise in London.. For example, as NBC starts their report with, this:

Kevani Kanda was just six years old when her family accused her of being a witch. She was being molested by a relative and the trauma made her wet the bed and sleepwalk.

But instead of trying to find out what was wrong, Kanda’s family were convinced she was possessed by an evil spirit. For the next five years, she was starved, forced to eat her own vomit, beaten repeatedly and given suppositories containing spices to “get rid of the evil spirits.” And the torture occurred in a London suburb.

The story of Kanda is horrid and disgusting.. But is it evidence of a bigger issue taking place? London’s Metropolitan Police announced this week that reports of abuse where the child is accused of being a witch or possessed by an evil spirit are on the rise..

And finally, go and search for other articles that have some frame of reference to one of the many sources, and a site you can actually trust. When all else fails, read the legal disclaimer on a website. There you will find the "this is for entertainment purposes only" information. Sorry.. a little angry when I constantly see this bogus joke site being credited as having newsworthy information--and typically, quite frankly, racists are the ones sharing it.

This seems to be a true and honest justifiable person to claim the honor of having a Nobel Peace Prize: Malala Yousafzai..Well earned.

The Koreas are at it again.. this time gunfire has been exchanged. There is also some mysterious questions being asked: Where did Lil Kim go? Kim Jong UN, the boy leader of one of the most deadliest regimes in the world, is gone. Where?? Who is in charge? Questions..questions..questions. No answers, but gunfire and constant threats of a re-ignition of a Korean conflict are always there.

At the young age of 57, Jan Hooks, a Saturday Night LIVE veteran, dies..Her agent confirmed the death. No further details were provided at the time it was released.. Her career has been inactive for several years.

While this may be good news for some of the people who still think that UNDER THE DOME has a semblance of entertainment value, it does not affect me much: I will not be watching the third season. Nonetheless, UNDER THE DOME has been renewed for another crapfest of shows, it will return to us in the summer of 2015. The TV adaptation of Stephen King's book has gone under the dome itself, with each show becoming worse than the one before.. We have been given a large heap of nonsense. CBS calls it entertainment, they attempt cliffhangers with poor dialogue and even worse acting. For those who love it, they get another set of episodes. Enjoy the garbage you're fed, sheeple.

HORROR in Hollywood makes a comeback. ANNABELLE has helped.. some other movies coming may inspire more creativity, too.. Horror is not dead. But hopefully the dreadful drought of good movies is.

As for me, despite my best intention on giving the show a chance, I just didn't like it. Minus a few freaky scenes, I found it dull and unconvincing .. Maybe as time goes, it will improve. At this point, I may have already given up on it, much to the chagrin of some friends who are telling me how wrong I am.
Speaking of freaky scenes, here is one:  Though there is some debate as far as whether the premise of the clown killer from AHS was copied off of something else, clearly for modern entertainment and clown haters, this scene takes the take as the worst way to end a date..

Finally, at least finally with this update, here's a little history lesson on how clowns became scary. Good article, but I just want to reinforce what clowns really symbolize: Their noses swelled, their eyes darkened, their skin pale white, their feet and hands swollen up, and their outfit colorful. They symbolize death itself, the signs of death are upon them, and their attire is to mock the darkness. That is why they are scary. Because deep down, even if we did not meet Death yet, we know the signs and symbols.. Clowns are just that: The personification of the child eater, the pedophile, and the deeply disturbing corpse look.  That is why you fear them.. That is why, even if they make you laugh, their very presence makes you feel just a wee bit uncomfortable..



 

Dreams of my readers: Why am I suddenly getting so many messages from readers of nightmares and terrors at 3am? Is it something I've said?

The HORROR REPORT posted a few articles recently on dreams, including some personal nightmare scenarios that played out during my own night terror the other evening .. In it, as I wrote, Ebola was rampaging the world, a barroom of children was singing patriotic songs, and I was being warned that either November 11 or November 17 would be dramatic days of change..

Since that time, a few readers responded to me publicly in comments on this site, but also in private in email. One email I got was exceptionally chilling. I asked the person if I can reprint the very short text of his message. He agreed, but asked for me not to use his name.

This is what we will call the dream of a Reader. Take it for what it's worth:

I woke up in a silver lined casket. It scared me immediately, but the part that scared me more was the noise of horses or other things trampling on the casket above. So I figured I was underground. However, I noticed the lock on the lid of the coffin was unhinged, so I pushed it open. When I did, I saw children being rushed into a large van. The van appeared to be driven by people who actually looked like ISIS fighters. The militants had taken over my town. There were also people convulsing, others were bleeding, and there were animals being sacrificed in a large bonfire. The part that made things the scariest, and what woke me up immediately: American fighter bombers were dropped nuclear weapons on the United States. We were all dying.

The dream went on to speak of his rush to escape. He wrote to me that he woke up. When he did, the first thing he did was look at his clock. It was 3:33 AM. The witching hour shows up again.

And I hope the nightmare will just be confined to the reality of someone's nighttime imagination, not the daylight hours of reality.

 

Life after death. And before life. When you’re dead.

The other day I promised I’d have some more thoughts on the new much publicized life after death study that took place—the one which we are told provides evidence that we may not be dead when we think we are..

I have been doing some deep thinking about this. Actually it’s been on my mind my entire life, and probably yours too..

It is the most troubling and yet amazing question to ask: Is this it? We have debated, prayed, questioned, been hopeless, and hopeful. Sometimes all at the same time.

Here is the basic facts you need to know about the actual study:

• A team based in the UK has spent the last four years seeking out cardiac arrest patients to analyse their experiences


• 46% described having some form of “awareness” at a time when they were declared clinically dead


• The new study sort of makes garbage of the premise that the brain survives 30 seconds after the heart stops. Instead, the new conclusion we see is that it may be up to 5 minutes.

But here is the money quote from the TELEGRAPH story on the study:

One man, however, gave a “very credible” account of what was going on while doctors and nurses tried to bring him back to life – and says that he felt he was observing his resuscitation from the corner of the room

That part is where the paranormal begins to become normal, if the ‘credible’ man is to be believed.. And that would supply evidence to suggest all of the near death experiecnes that Dr. Moody and others have written about for decades are real.. accurate. And true to form..

And that could blow a lot of minds and change everything..

Some of this also is not knew. We know that people are brought back to life minutes after their heart stops—we have come a long way since the ‘feather test’ of long ago to show when someone stops breathing.. Things are most amazing now. But future science and medicine will also show how antiquated our current 2014 way of thinking is, and will be ‘was’ then. The study of the brain is in its infancy. There’s so much to learn about the computer inside all of us..

Here is another snippet from an article on the study from MEDICAL DAILY:

Among 2,060 people who experienced cardiac arrest, 330 survived and of these survivors 140 reported at least partial awareness at the time of resuscitation. Nearly half (46 percent) had memories with seven major themes: fear; animals/plants; bright light; violence/persecution; deja-vu; family; and recalling events post-cardiac arrest. Two percent described awareness with explicit recall of seeing and hearing actual events related to their resuscitation

Oh that bright white light again—the light some say is a trick and others say is a safe place to go when you die. Until we see the light, we really won’t know. And if you’re not allowed to bring your dog, like in that old TWILIGHT ZONE show, then it’s not heaven at all..

But there are skeptics on the mind blowing account of the man seeing himself dead from the side of a room. And they could have a point. After all, one man out of 2060 had this type of story.. There are also some who say the entire study was a waste of time.

I don’t think trying to find an answer to the most important question in life is ever a waste of time.. quite the opposite, actually. We should be doing more of this.. learning more, and never just deciding that something is not true without scientific study.

For most of my life, I have heard science’s response to claims of near death experiences and out of body happenings: Pure and simply hallucinations.

But this new study does something to the hallucination theory.. it strikes a dagger directly into its heart. That is why I find it to be important to read, contemplate, and study more.

Theory is never fact. It’s theory.. And what we think is a law of gravity may not exist in a parallel universe, if they even exist.

I know this: I have read accounts and heard them firsthand from people who have claimed a near death ‘something.’ And when they speak of them, the fire in their eyes is real.. they are being honest. If the hallucination is real, it was still real to them.

And face it: We will all experience of or more of the following in our lifetimes:  hallucination, near death experience, or quite simply put, death.

Wouldn’t it be comforting to know that something else exists..
Or… would that be the scary part?

ANOTHER DAY IN THE LIFE OF A POLICE STATE

You are looking at the face of Jamal Jones.

He was tased in a routine traffic stop.

As FOX in Chicago reports,

The moment captured on cellphone video is now at the center of a lawsuit against Hammond police.

"The whole situation was just crazy," said Lisa Mahone.

Mahone, her boyfriend Jamal Jones, and Mahone’s two children – 14-year-old Joseph and 7-year-old Janiya — were driving in Hammond in late September. They were headed to Stroger Hospital in Chicago, where Mahone said doctors had called and said her mother was near death.

"I said ‘oh my God, he’s pulling me over like I robbed a bank,’" Mahone said.

And it was crazy.
And worse than that perhaps.

"I gave him my license and insurance. I also let him know at the beginning to please hurry up because my mom is about to die," Mahone told 911.

Jones said he didn’t have an ID to give to police because he recently got a ticket. When he reached into his book bag in the back seat to get the ticket, police drew their guns.

"I don’t know you and I don’t know what you’re going to do," an officer told Jones. He responded, "That’s why I have my windows up. I’m not no harm to you right now. I got my kids in the car and you’re drawing your weapon."

Jones told FOX 32 News, “So once the kids were scared, I wasn’t gonna get out of the car and leave my kids in the car. He was being so aggressive.”

Jones then tried to give the ticket with his ID to police, but they refused to take it. He then asked the officers if they have a supervisor on the scene.

"You all got a white shirt?" Jones said. The officer responded, "Look at my shoulder dumb***. I got bars."

Police then continued to order Jones out of the car.

"You’re going to come out of the car one way or another. You want your kids to see you come out through the window?" the officer said.

Mahone then again called 911 for a supervisor to come to the scene.

"I am scared. And the man—pulled a gun out. A gun! Why do my kids have to see that," Mahone told 911.

Three minutes after that call, police took action.

"Ma’am are you going to open the vehicle?" the officer said.

Mahone responded, “Why do you say somebody’s not gonna hurt you? People are getting shot by the police—”

Suddenly, police broke open the window and tased Jones. Mahone’s daughter began crying in the backseat after being sprayed with glass.

And the rest is history.
And now going viral on YouTube.

There will be some who defend the police actions. The Hammond police, for instance, are.. They said in a statement that the traffic stop was in accordance with law.. They also said that there was a safety issue for the officer.

Speaking of safety.. let’s not forget about children in the back seat of a car that police are smashing the windows of.. watching  a man , who did nothing and did not have a probable cause of anything hanging over him, get tased and screaming in pain.

Getting the story first often means the wrong person is dead.

CBS news today was one of the first sources to report that actress Sarah Goldberg was dead.. And quite sadly, too.. the 7th HEAVEN star died in her sleep from ‘natural causes’ at the young age of 40..

Sometimes begin first is fraught with danger.. CBS news posted an image of Sarah Goldberg .. but not the right one.



The photo depicts THIS Sarah Goldberg, a Canadian film and television star.

The one that died, and not pictured by CBS, is Sarah Danielle Madison. This one. Her legal name was Sarah Goldberg.

Being first is fine. But try to be right.

But there are at least three commenters that deserve a  job as fact checker at CBS NEWS:

And I cannot help but think of those rumors days ago that Duncan already had died but there were emergency crews rushing to the hospital to properly dispose of the body, hence the news wasn’t revealed.

So either he was dead then or now.. but he’s dead.

The patient was identified as Dallas County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Michael Monnig, who accompanied county health officials Zachary Thompson and Christopher Perkins into the Dallas apartment where Thomas Eric Duncan had been staying when he fell ill with Ebola.

"Initial reports from the urgent care facility indicated the patient had direct contact with the Dallas ‘patient zero’; however, Frisco firefighter-paramedics now report the patient says he had contact with the apartment and family members related to the Dallas ‘patient zero’ prior to the apartment being decontaminated," said city of Frisco spokesperson Dana Baird.

Watching Ebola closely: Not at all sure we are being told the truth. Pretty sure we should start thinking of stopping flights from infected areas and if it gets any worse, perhaps closing borders.

The facts on the ground do not support what the CDC is saying about the way it is and is not spread. The borders should be closed to any Civil traffic from infected nations at a minimum.

My uncle passed away on Monday morning. He was a good, proud man..

His role in this planet, for what I can take from his life, was to be an inspiration for his children, his wife, his co-workers, and his extended family. Even though cancer ravaged every part of his body, his attitude was steadfast and his mission was strong: To live another day, and die some other one..

His battle was lost.
But he was still the victor..

Sometimes death is not a surprise, nor is it the worst case scenario. When someone is destroyed by a vicious circle of disease that never ends with radiation that kills, living becomes more difficult. The possible becomes less likely: To recover fully..

The man I knew on this planet has now met his fate.. The reaction from those who find out: He is in a better place.

And I hope he is..

For those who have read any of the text presented on this website since its inclusion into the World War superhighway web of lies and endless websites that offer up opinions, you may already know: I don’t know what happens when someone dies. And neither do you..

You can assume you do, pray you do..hope you do. But until you actually succumb to the fate you’re meant to, you will not know what door closes and which opens.. You won’t know if the light is where you go. Or if that’s just a trick, and the hillbilly with a bug zapper awaits your arrival on the other side.

So with that being said.. Nothing else can be.
Death gives inspiration for tears, fears, emotions, and grief.. but it does not equal easy words to heal. Healing comes with time.

I do know this, though: My Uncle was filled with enough spirit to move a mountain. His mind was a pillar of strength and love. His body was a symbol of health until sickness took that away.. And his core soul was kind and amazing.. The sort of person that fills a room with joy just by a smile, and happiness just with his kind words. There’s no way that a soul like that just vanishes into an abyss of nothing. No way at all.

So may he rest in peace.. He left in peace. He will stay in peace.

RED MOON DREAMS: NIGHTMARE DURING A LUNAR ECLIPSE

From time to time, when a dream warrants some form of attention, I will speak of it, write it down, and use this venue as the means of broadcasting the information. While I don't think any person truly can prognosticate the future, I do believe that often times the bumps in our night are caused by some form of knowledge that is either suppressed during our daylight hours, or foresight into the future. With specific dreams, those that mention names, or dates, I think there is something more to them. Enough, at least, that it a record of them should be kept..

One such dream, perhaps a night terror in a sense, happened to me last night. I woke up around 3am--that witching hour I have written about before--from a dream. I immediately typed down the dream on my phone to keep an account. But I didn't forget it, even with a few more hours of groggy sleep.

In my night vision, I was cruising through town and ended up at a dive bar, one I haven't been to in real life for a long time. I told my wife I was going to the store.. So when I was at the bar for a bit of time, the odd man out in a shirt and tie, she called me asking where I was. I said I'd be home, and that I would bring chicken wings. I guess even in my dream I knew I had to make it up to her not coming home from work immediately afterwards.. Nonetheless, the spirit of the bar suddenly changed from backwoods biker bar to a family oriented patriotic place. For some reason, the crowd, watching television of some sort of event taking place, began singing the Star Spangled Banner. Right after, another group of people started drunkenly but proudly singing God Bless America. I did not join in the singing, instead I recall a desperate attempt to find out what was on television and why the singing was gong on. Suddenly, without notice, co-workers of mine were there. After a bit of meandering around in dreamworld, I found myself sitting at a table with them slowly nursing a beer. The television was off.. a co-worker told me "We need to be prepared for what happens in November."  I looked at her knowingly and agreed, though in my dream, we had two separate dates. I said this 'event' would take place around a patriotic holiday. She said it would be November 17.  Just then, I was put back in my home town of Centralia at my Uncle Andy's home. A white van drove up the mountain and contained a female American doctor who had Ebola. She was infected and the United States was attempting to drone strike her ... she parked right in front of me.. A drone strike was imminent.

I woke up.

And when I woke up I suddenly realized something strange about that date debate my co-worker and I had during the dream. She said the 'event' of whatever type would occur November 17. I said no, instead, it would fall on a patriotic holiday.. Perhaps that means November 11, Veterans Day..?

I present this to you with a asterisk: That caveat is that this was a dream. Only a dream.. We can often look far too deep int he dream dictionary and try to suggest to ourselves meanings to what we see .. But it was still a dream.

However, as mentioned in the first paragraph opening this post, when a dream is specific like this, I feel the need to document it, date stamp it, and present it.

Discern accordingly.

Interestingly, as I dreamed this, the red moon was rising as the lunar eclipse was taking place.

I suppose an ‘all caps’ message is necessary when asking about the Penn State Ebola case. I am aware of it.. As of now, there are no cases to report.. But there are 80 Penn State students being monitored, as reported in this Lancaster PA newspaper.. the latest is that no signs of Ebola are present. Good news.


I actually was watching this since mid-September, that was the time frame when the original story was posted about the 80 students.

My only criticism on the story is this: Why would 80 students take part in an type of trip to Africa at this time? I understand there may be educational purposes and learning experiences, but when they enter the hot zone of the deadliest disease on the planet, I question the intelligence of any university.. Or that’s just me.

But the part of the entire Ebola story that confuses me: The first person diagnosed with Ebola in the United States was fighting for his life at a Dallas hospital on Sunday and appeared not to be receiving any of the experimental medicines for the virus, the director of the U.S... They say the drug is 'all gone.' They say that it will not be coming.. So this patient fights for his life..
I wonder if the NBC news photographer will get the same no drug treatment..?

Speaking of the NBC freelancer: Ashoka Mukpo -- who contracted it while covering the outbreak's carnage -- was on his way for treatment in isolation at Nebraska Medical Center..

And here is some information for your conspiratorial brain to ponder: There are rumors online, which I will not link at this time, that Thomas A. Duncan has been dead for days.. The rumor goes: they cannot figure out what to do with his body at this time and are awaiting specialists to arrive to take it, for fear that a "CONTAGION" may happen.. Discern this information appropriately..

When reporters are caught on open MICs: CBS's White House correspondent Major Garrett is caught saying "we're screwed" on live MIC after an Ebola briefing on Ocotber 3.. I think it was funny.. Gallow's humor--and hell, journalists are people, too.. let's be real, we are all slightly concerned that "we're screwed" in some shape or form..

While Ebola decides it if wants to wipe out the world's population, there are other diseases to worry about in the short term.. Namely: This scary bug that is infecting children across the United States--and it has been for about a year, I even recall Alex Jones talking about deaths in his family as a result of this respiratory bug at the end of 2013 on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory.. The AP has a report on the wave of sickness--and death.. There's some important facts in there concerning the background on the 1962-born sickness and the children it primarily infects. Parents should be aware of this.. I know, as a parent, I am. I am also slightly worried about mutation.. I have been told countless times that this bug is not going to mutate, but folks:B Bugs do what they want.. We certainly don't have much luck at even stopping the common cold, let alone this rare disease that it now killing some and making others get polio--though they don't want to call it that.. Namely because the children were perfectly vaccinated against polio.. Be aware of this one, it actually worries me more than Ebola. At this point.

The first person diagnosed with Ebola in the United States was fighting for his life at a Dallas hospital on Sunday and appeared not to be receiving any of the experimental medicines for the virus, the director of the U.S.

 

The drug is ‘all gone,’ they say.. and nothing coming any time soon.

So as a result of the lack of medicine, our now famous American Ebola patient is fighting for his life tonight..

STRONG WEEKEND FOR 'ANNABELLE' AND 'GONE GIRL'

Horror flick Annabelle is going to do what others couldn't this year: Have a strong debut, something strong for a horror flick in 2014.. but in a surprise, Gone Girl will be stronger ..

Good news for Annabelle: the film will make more than $37.2 mil strong. The movie had a strong Friday night, boosted by younger crowds and social media and YouTube trailers that were shared heavily among horror fans..

But Gone Girl will finish near $38, something that may have been helped by strong online reviews and praise..

The weekend race for the top spot ended up close. Horror was strong with ANNABELLE, and those I spoke to who saw the movie said there was a positive movie theater experience with the film..

A young crowd went to see horror Friday.. The grownups went on Saturday. Social media helped both movies ... and Sunday looked just as strong both them ...

Times are getting colder.. warm popcorn and closely sitting next to your date in a theater are looking better in October..

Incidentally, the HORROR REPORT predicted $36 mil on Friday--very close to the final numbers that the movie will have this weekend..

This may not be something for the police, some would argue. But it certainly could be.. if this was some sort of illegal drone activity taking place, then it makes sense for them to take part actively. There is more from the Colorado news report:

Police have called the FAA. The FAA says they have not had any calls from the public regarding the sighting.

Witnesses say the objects would sometimes form triangles or straight lines across the horizon.

9NEWS reporter Matt Renoux said he doesn’t believe the objects were drones or weather balloons, because the objects appeared stationary for as long as 15 minutes at times.

"They would just sit there… without moving an inch on our viewscreen in the camera," Renoux said during a 5 p.m. live report.

After about 15 minutes, a flash of light would appear and the “objects would take off across the mountain ridge,” Renoux said.

A Utah television station reported Thursday about a similar incident happening in the Salt Lake City area.

It does sound quite similar to the Utah cases, which I wrote about earlier after a reader prompted me to look into things more closely.

This is the big fear of mine, and has been so.

Lets take a trip…back in time.

The year was 2012. There was research in Canada on Ebola.. the story goes like this,according to a HEALTHMAP.COM article posted at the time:

When news broke that the Ebola virus had resurfaced in Uganda, investigators in Canada were making headlines of their own with research indicating the deadly virus may spread between species, through the air.

The team, comprised of researchers from the National Centre for Foreign Animal Disease, the University of Manitoba, and the Public Health Agency of Canada, observed transmission of Ebola from pigs to monkeys. They first inoculated a number of piglets with the Zaire strain of the Ebola virus. Ebola-Zaire is the deadliest strain, with mortality rates up to 90 percent. The piglets were then placed in a room with four cynomolgus macaques, a species of monkey commonly used in laboratories. The animals were separated by wire cages to prevent direct contact between the species.

Within a few days, the inoculated piglets showed clinical signs of infection indicative of Ebola infection. In pigs, Ebola generally causes respiratory illness and increased temperature. Nine days after infection, all piglets appeared to have recovered from the disease.

Within eight days of exposure, two of the four monkeys showed signs of Ebola infection. Four days later, the remaining two monkeys were sick too. It is possible that the first two monkeys infected the other two, but transmission between non-human primates has never before been observed in a lab setting.

The candidate to blame for the airborne transmission: They concluded that, maybe, it was one of these three: airborne, droplet, or fomites..

What worries me the most though is this: Mutation. Ebola mutates quickly.. It was one of the meanest, cruelest, and worst nightmares for humanity. It liquefies the body, including the bones. In the past, the only way to contain the disease was to let it burn itself out in villages. Even back August of 2014, NPR and others reported on the problem containing the current outbreak being the quick mutation. Another issue is how much faster Ebola mutates in humans rather than animals..

And all that coupled together: Airborne is scary. Very scary.

If things don’t pan out in a positive way for mankind, the STAND may turn out to be true, even though my readers are most likely tired of my endless comparisons.

The question will be is this: Is anyone having dreams of Mother Abigail yet? Because the rats indeed are in the cornfield..

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS OUT: HIGH HOPES FOR HORROR FLICK 'ANNABELLE' AS MOVIE OPENS

$40 MIL?

There are high hopes for horror.. the winds of fear are bringing in October tonight as the movie ANNABELLE finally gets its long awaited premiere.. Those I have spoken to tonight say theaters are crowded and people are screaming. Some are laughing.. others are decrying how 'bad' the movie was. All of those opinions are being Facebooked and Tweeted, Tumbled and Instagrammed.

But messages are mixed.
ANNABELLE's late night debut last night only brought in $2.1 mil--lower than the CONJURING's $3.31 mil.. It's also lower than the second installment of the PURGE film.. Good news for ANNABELLE, those other movies were released in the summer.

Time will tell.. By Sunday we will know if horror is alive and well at the box office or if this slump is permanent.

If I had to go out on a limb right now, I'd predict $36 mil based off of all of the information I have currently.

We shall see..

ALERT: A patient with Ebola-like symptoms is being treated at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., a hospital spokesperson confirmed late Friday morning! The patient had traveled to Nigeria recently.

This is obviously a developing story.. And with it comes more fear..

In the nation's capitol: We anxiously wait to see if the patient being tested for Ebola actually has it..

This poll was offered up before.. I am re-opening the poll again to see if your opinion has changed a bit since the first time I posted it two months ago. Since that time, Ebola has jumped the ocean and now patient zero vomited all over the grounds of the United States.  His family is quarantined, and at least 100 or so people are being monitored closely for any sign of Ebola.. So .. tell me now, are you worried about this?

Real news has become surreal.. I find many headlines of our current day to relate back to THE STAND.. I know the comparison is a little fuzzy, and my overdoing it may be annoying to some. But when the strange similarities to me are striking.. The STAND starts in Texas. And in real life Texas is the center stage for the Ebola scare. And even worse, the endless stories of people 'coming back to life' are getting bizarre--though we can assume that parts of Africa cannot truly pinpoint the cause of death, so somene coming back to life is moot: The person probably wasn't dead. At least we hope they weren't.. Though SNOPES can tell us it's a hoax, try to explain the high strangeness of ABC NEWS filming a dead man and suddenly seeing him moving..

Continuing to the real news of the day (though it seems like fiction half of the time), focus is now turning on how Thomas Duncan got inot the United States. The Washington POST is giving us an hour by hour synopsis of what happened. In their best ability.. The family of Duncan is now confined to their home.. Extra precautions, right? That seems fine until you see images of people nonchalantly washing Duncan's vomit from the street with power washers. Unprotected, I may add.. We also know that Duncan may be prosecuted by Liberia.. there are allegations that he lied to gain entry into the United States again, knowing that he handled Ebola patients by bringing them to a hospital in a wheel barrel but not telling anyone before he got onto a plane.. And when back home, his life touched many others. Many that are being monitored right now.. Even his apartment building has still to be sanitized, with the same sheets still being there..
Meanwhile, NBC has been infected and affected: A cameraman for the news network now has Ebola.. That news, along with this: The rest of the NBC crew is in quarantine..

Another tidbit of scary information, reported by REUTERS: People who contract Ebola in West Africa can get through airport screenings and onto a plane with a lie and a lot of ibuprofen, according to healthcare experts who believe more must be done to identify infected travelers

In all of this nightmare news, we rely on the CDC and others in government to give us true and accurate information. (Again, we need to re-read or re-watch the STAND for my take on that, I agree with how Stephen King envisions such events would take place) .. the CDC is filled with experts. Experts, that at least one doctor believes, are lying. Yesterday, Dr. Gil Mobley checked in and cleared airport security wearing a mask, goggles, gloves, boots and a hooded white jumpsuit emblazoned on the back with the words, “CDC is lying!”..



The United States and the CDC, they say, are "certain" they can stop Ebola in the United States. In the STAND, the military had a similar line about Captain Tripps..

There are other events of strange nature occurring across the planet and beyond..
Events that are scary, too.. The entire state of California is in a drought. Taps are dry. Toilets cannot flush. Things are becoming desperate.. Some have not had running water for months.. There have been a lot of Secret Services lapses, and seemingly dangerous threats to the President, as we have reported .. but there's another new one, just days ago! An unidentified man posing as a member of Congress made it into a secure area backstage at President Barack Obama’s appearance at a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation awards dinner in Washington Sept. 27.. This after fence jumpers, car attacks, a man running through the President's living quarters with a knife, and a convict with a loaded weapon in an elevator with the President. I am becoming more convinced that these events are being permitted to happen..



The season of the witch upon us, every year the same thing happens: Religious websites compel parents to keep kids home. CRISIS MAGAZINE this year writes: "The demons, however, know what they are doing. Fearlessness and love have become fear and lust leaving Halloween as a sickening and shocking affair of innocents pantomiming as succubi and serial killers: an adult carnival of death and sex for kids that is practically impossible to shut out, and therefore in absolute need of active restoration." While I scoff at some of the more prudish attitudes about Halloween, I will say this: As I age I begin to see some of the problems with how retailers design sexually explicit costumes for children. I often wonder about the grown adult who thinks about a 5-year-old in a sexually suggestive outfit..

The media is has begun a campaign to slam the rich and famous over their decisions not to vaccinate their children.. CNN is the latest to jump on this, after Hollywood Reporters and TIME magazine in the last few weeks. But do these rich and famous know something others don't? ...

A United States marine has become the first casualty in the war with ISIS..or ISIL.. or IS.. or whoever. A US Marine who ejected from an airplane over the Persian Gulf is “presumed lost at sea,” ... Ospreys have been moving Marines into Iraq... The search for the Marine has been called off.. presumption of death..

US Added 248000 Jobs in September; Unemployment Falls to 5.9%.. That's great news. Though most people who you talk to still say their economic conditions have never recovered. Unfortunately for those who want to use this October surprise to benefit them in an election in four weeks, Ebola news is taking center stage over it..


Mystery fireball lights up the skies over Utah.. These events are becoming way too frequent..



HORROR hits the box office.. will ANNABELLE be enough to save the genre in '14? The state of the box office is awful.. all movies have taken a hit, but horror is not immune. Most of anything news this year has flopped. There are big expectations for the premiere to the CONJURING. ANNABELLE has scared up some good press with frightening trailers and viral marketing.. But reviews are in. Do they match the excitement?
One paper calls the movie 'too dumb' to be scary..
Another says the movie 'merely toys' with genuine horror..
VARIETY: Leonetti manages to deliver the jolts, and if audiences are sure to head home complaining about how dumb and predictable it all was



But there is a bigger picture in play for movies in general.. How will we watch movies in the future? Will sheltered theaters get the same treatment as drive ins? Will we say goodbye the current state of how we view films? Yes. Proof is in this story: Adam Sandler is teaming with NETFLIX to deliver viewers exclusive content. That is how it will be done.. the future will be streamed.. Music will, too. U2 is working with Apple on delivering users content--people don't want to own things in their hands anymore, they're all quite fine with having it just be streamed when they want it.. Radio is the same: Most radio hosts have their own apps, or their shows are listened to on iHeartRadio. Terrestrial radio will go away, as well..

EBOLARAMA DRAMA

Two days after he was sent home from a Dallas hospital, the man who is the first person to be diagnosed with Ebola in the United States was seen vomiting on the ground outside an apartment complex as he was bundled into an ambulance »

So far we know this:

1. There was no screening when he came back from Liberia on a plane to Dallas


2. He was asked at the hospital if he was in Africa. He said yes. He was released.


3. He then was around family.. And school children.


4. He was in an ambulance on his second trip back to the hospital..

And now we find out he tossed his cookies in his apartment complex … Reuters reports this:

"His whole family was screaming. He got outside and he was throwing up all over the place," resident Mesud Osmanovic, 21, said on Wednesday, describing the chaotic scene before the man was admitted to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital on Sunday where he is in serious condition.

That vomit is now the center stage issue.. who was around it, who cleaned it.. who slipped on it..? Is it still there?

The series of unfortunate events continue.

The STAR TELEGRAM reports:

A letter to parents of children at L.L. Hotchkiss Elementary School,6929 Town North Drive, says in part:

“This morning, we were made aware that one of our students may have had contact with an individual who was recently diagnosed with the Ebola virus. This student is currently not showing any symptoms and is under close observation by the Dallas County Health and Human Services Department. As a precautionary measure, the student has been advised to stay home from school. Since this student is not presenting any symptoms, there is nothing to suggest that the disease was spread to others, including students and staff.”

The words didn’t quell any fears… Instead a panic ensued.
