The ejection hit Earth's magnetic field on Monday. At 2pm ET the lights began to interract with the sun. At night, the skies lit up with beautiful shades of blue, green, and red, across the United States of America. It was one of the stronger and more intense light shows ever seen in recent memory.
An image on Spaceweather shows the CME that started it all..
The storm is subsiding.. but onlookers should be aware that some light shows may still be seen. Gaze at that sky.. you never know what will slam into Earth.
