Is this a large plume of steam near California ?

This video purports to show a large volcanic plume of steam on Sunday September 16, 2012, on the border of Mexico, Arizona, and Southern California. The plume of steam appears to be from the desert area of the region..

A video by the always interesting DutchSinse had a video on the plume, too, and researched the area where the plume was: The plume appears to be coming from a volcanic area.

The video will surely make the rounds. And with all of the latest volcanoes around the world, a new one here in the United States certainly would not be unheard of..

Also interesting: It was just last week that Southern California was plagued with a sulfur smell. Officials blamed it on dead fish. Maybe it was something else, as we are seeing on the YouTube videos...?
