The myth of the presidential grays?
NBC NEWS reports something to the contrary of what Americans have always believed: That their presidents age faster than they do.
Maybe it is just wishful thinking to assume that Commanders in Chief, with all the stresses of their daily duties, will get older quicker than others. But as NBC’s Bill Briggs writes, not really:

But, internally at least, presidents don’t age any faster than other Americans – and, in fact, historically surpass average U.S. lifespans, according to a study into whether commander in chief is, literally, is a killer job.

I read this story but will ignore it. I’d rather believe that the President ages faster than me. It just makes me feel better. And younger. Until I see my own grays in the mirror piling up, that is..
