News of the brief beyond belief.. Articles combed from sources around the world, presented in HTML format and uploaded for your Friday morning convenience. Welcome to the weekend..
News from South Korea is heartbreaking today. while families were prepared to find out their loved ones were most likely dead in that tragic ferry accident, the details are grisly.. Divers are finding bodies crammed into cabins in the sunken ship.. Searchers discovered the bodies of 48 girls wearing life vests in a cabin with a capacity of 30, indicating many passengers ran into the same room when the ship tilted... Another piece of just awful news: A boy and girl on the Korean ferry drowned with their life jackets tied together.. The news will only get more troubling for those families directly affected by the horrid news..

The timing of events so often gives me pause.. Do things happen for a reason? IS there a message in tragedy? A news event did not make too many headlines but I have been thinking deeply about whether there is any potential meaning behind it: Just days before Pope John Paul II is to be declared a saint in front of millions in Rome, a crucifix dedicated to him collapsed and killed a 21-year-old man named Marco Gusmini. The man was killed instantly .. he was visiting the vilage of Cevo with other younger friends. There is also some irony: Gismini lived on a street in Bergamo named John XXII..

And speaking of those millions going to Rome: They are going to be standing under very stormy skies.

Meet the Costa Rican woman who claimed a miracle--and helped John Paul II achieve Catholic sainthood..

Next time you're watching the beautiful cheerleaders at Buffalo Bills games, think about this little factoid: The "Buffalo Jills" as they are called received an instructional manual from their managers telling them how to eat soup and when to change their tampons.. They say: "The Jill Cheerleaders Code Of Conduct instructs the women on how to keep certain 'intimate areas' fresh, offering advice such as 'When menstruating, use a product that (sic) right for your menstrual flow.': .. They were also told to say excuse me when they burp and said "Oh my goodness" instead of Oh my God... Oh my God...

Green tea and raw fish.. the secret to living long?

An update no Justin Bieber and how he offended 1.3 billion people.. The Beebs did say sorry but then got busy being detained at LAX after he returned back to America. That darned Homeland Security bill finally is being put to good use..

Lest we forget some recent information about Justin Bieber. Besides urinating in restaurant buckets and spatting on fans, Beebs isn't the most likely to become the UN Secretary General.. he also wrote that he thinks Anne Frank would have been a Belieber..
After 20 years of dominance (and 20 years of changing what we eat) Monsanto is finding itself on the losing end of the natural food and GMO fight.. Vermont is the latest and greatest place where Monsanto is facing legislative setbacks.. Also vertical farming will soon evolve to not need pesticides. So when agents of death to spray on our food aren't needed, what will Monsanto do next?
More news from the Hollywood sex scandal suit: Bryan Singer is officially denying the sexual abuse allegations made by Michael Egan .. Singer called the allegations 'outrageous and false' but will not participate in any press events for the upcoming X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.. It will certainly be interesting to see if this lawsuit affects the money X-MEN will be taking in. Or if people in Middle America really don't care what the sordid news from Hollywood elites really is..
BATMAN VS SUPERMAN news.. Ray Fisher will be joining Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Gal Gadot..Fisher is supposedly joining the cast as Cyborg.. The movie release date is now set for May 6, 2016..

The UK has its first alien abduction support group.. It's for people who believe, obviously, that they have been abducted by aliens (presumably also people who think awful things were jammed and rammed into them) .. The group promises to be ridicule free. I believe it should be--while many in the world will laugh and mock those who claim UFOs abducted them, it's worthwhile to note that if 1) they believe they were abducted or 2) they think they were but weren't that they need counseling of some sort either way..
THE NEW YORK TIMES reviews the horror flick THE QUIET ONES, writing that it evokes 1970s' movies..
