Texas church shooting suspect was stopped by a citizen??

The gunman who allegedly killed 27 people in a Texas church has been identified as 26-year-old Devin Patrick Kelley.. 

Today's mass shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas, was only halted after an armed Texan "engaged" the killer and put an end to the rampage, the Texas Rangers reported. Freeman Martin, a major in the Texas Rangers and a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety, says the suspect dropped his rifle and fled after being confronted by a local man who had grabbed his rifle.

One witness told authorities that among those who were shot in the attack was a two-year-old child

First Baptist Church Pastor Frank Pomeroy said his 'beautiful and special' 14-year-old daughter is among dead

THE HALLOWEEN ATTACK IN MANHATTAN?

Six feared dead after truck driver shouting 'allahu akbar' mows down cyclists on bike path in lower Manhattan before being gunned down by police as he waved imitation firearms!

The truck rammed into cyclists and runners on the West Side Highway on Tuesday shortly after 3pm
Driver drove south from further uptown and mounted the bike path a few blocks above Chambers Street
He mowed down several cyclists and runners, according to police sources, then crashed into a school bus
The driver then reportedly got out of the Home Depot truck with fake guns in his hands and was shot by police
The suspect survived and is in hospital but it remains unclear how many he injured in his path of destruction
He had rented the truck from Home Depot which said it was cooperating with authorities after the attack

At least six people were killed and 15 were injured when a truck driver deliberately mowed down people and targeted a school bus in lower Manhattan Tuesday in what authorities are investigating as an act of terror, officials tell News 4 New York.

More than a dozen people were hit when the driver of a Home Depot rental truck zoomed at least 10 blocks down a popular bike bath from West Houston to Chambers streets.

The man crashed into a school bus carrying three children during the rampage, and police say that he'd deliberately targeted that bus. Witnesses told police they saw the driver swerve the truck to target the school bus. They said the driver screamed "Allah' akbar" in the truck, then emerged carrying two fake guns -- either BB or paint guns -- and started running around before he was finally shot by police.

There is probably something very meaningful for who we are as people to consider that 2017 has been the biggest year for HORROR in history

Before this year it was 1987, 1999, and 2000..

All of those were years of change and peril, worry and war.. All of them were years of societal upheaval.

We respond by watching horror.. by escaping the reality of our world with the fictitious battles of good vs evil on box office screens.

2017 was no different. Just bigger and badder than ever.

STRANGER THINGS 2 looks incredible

The newest STRANGER THINGS 2 trailer hit on Friday the 13th .. amazing timing as always with the fine people at Netflix..

The excitement over this program is incredible. Not only are people re-watching and re-binging the first season in preparation, but there is an equal amount of re-watching and analyzing of the newest trailers..


Before discussion.. take a glance:

 

My initial thought: This is actually the weaker of the teasers and trailers for season 2.. Yes, I am inclined to wonder why Eleven is more androgynous  .. why she has more hair now and no one shaved it. why she is out of the upside down and eating Eggos in the normal world..

So many questions about her. But the trailer didn't pay much attention to her--I think on purpose. Instead we glimpsed into the post-pubescent boys and now new friends of another gender planning something, just as the world is being taken over by giant squid creatures from the upside down.

Not viewed at all? Mike's mom and dad. Barb..

Forgive me before moving on, but I really hope something happens to Mike's dad. The guy was a total buffoon, I know on purpose, but  really annoyingly so.. Perhaps the 'Reagan Bush 84' sign that pops up in their front yard is a showcase of how his total trust in government and Reagan fight against the Commies with star wars defense weapons is an example of how he won't be changing any time soon..
Fair enough.

I want to know the other families, though as well.. We know only Mike and Will.. There are plenty of other kids in the show that I want to understand.. Maybe season 2 will there.

It appears from this trailer that a journalist shows up to investigate. Perhaps a conspiracy journalist.. Also, the homages being paid to KARATE KID and GHOSTBUSTERS is pretty cool. During the run-up to this release STRANGERS THINGS creators also revealed a poster showing a true and amazing tribute to another amazing movie that came out in 1984: The original NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET..



Homages aside, the character development looks very in depth. At least judging from a single trailer.. Will seems to be a main character.. Perhaps Will becomes the earthly manifestation of the upside down and Eleven has defeat him? Perhaps Nancy is the key--or just true love.

The MK ULTRA affair looks amazing in this..
I am entirely excited.

One interesting conundrum that STRANGER THINGS 2 may have is how audiences have come to know and love Finn Wolfhard playing Ritchie from the remake of 'IT.' He was foul-mouthed and funny.. a complete reversal in a sense from Mike .. but not really. STRANGER THINGS 2 may feature a more mature Mike.. not sure if they'll go as far as genital jokes and F words.. But audiences may have grown so used to it from IT that they may expect it.


But back to my thought about this trailer to begin with.. As much as I love it, I wish the final trailer released prior to the show's October 27 binge-worthy debut would have been the one that premiered at Comic Con.. the amazing with that is complete with Michael Jackson's THRILLER and ends with Boris Karloff's horrific laughter.. for those who forget, this:

THE UNLUCK OF THE IRISH: TROPICAL STORM MAY HIT IRELAND!!


Yes, indeed.. a hurricane-ish type storm is about to hit Ireland..

Hurricane Ophelia is the 10th consecutive hurricane to form in the Atlantic basin this year. According to University of Miami hurricane expert Brian McNoldy, the last time ten consecutive storms became a hurricane was 1893. While a very interesting factoid, the "elephant in the room" is that Ophelia is headed to Ireland. It is rare, but not unprecedented.

There are a few interesting things about this.. First off, there have been really rare occasions that storms of this nature made it as far as Ophelia may..

Actually there have been only a handful in the past years since about, oh, 1851..

From 1851 to 2010, only 10 extratropical storms, typically the tail ends of tropical cyclones, have hit within 200 miles (322 kilometers) of Ireland....Hurricane Debbie was the only tropical hurricane to make landfall in that area, clipping the far northwest of the British Isles in 1961.

But this is 2017--the year that mayhem on land and in oceans seems to reign supreme..

Ophelia is in warm waters right now.. But after some more travel will lessen in intensity and most likely (we think? ) become extra tropical, somewhat like Superstorm Sandy from 2012.

That does not mean Ireland is going to dodge a significant bullet here.. as a matter of fact, maritime problems will exist, harsh winds, and heavy rains..

Channel 2 on Tuesday aired footage of a minor who dressed up like a clown in Yavne. “I am the Yavne clown,” said the boy. “I do it because it’s boring [in Yavne] I am not into killing people, only into scaring children.”

Police official Boaz Hamami, who was also interviewed for the Channel 2 report, said that the danger is two-fold: to the people who are panicked by the clowns, and for the clowns themselves, who might end up being shot by security or worried citizens who might respond with violence at the sight of a clown attacking children.

And there is a new report from the nation that a child was running scared at someone dressed like a clown.

This is the same pattern of clownish oddities that graced other continents previous autumns..

Oddly enough the movie IT came out and all of I seemingly died off in America and the UK.
But in Israel? The small town clowns are out en masse….

MARILYN MANSON PROP DISASTER: INJURED AFTER STAGE PIECE FALLS AT THE HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM

Marilyn Manson cut his Saturday night show at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom short after a stage prop collapsed atop the shock rocker. The severity of Manson's injuries was unclear at press time, but the concert was canceled after a brief delay.



"Manson suffered an injury towards the end of his incredible NYC show. He is being treated at a local hospital," a rep for the singer told Rolling Stone.

The incident occurred roughly an hour into Manson's concert, the third date on the North American leg of Manson's Heaven Upside Down tour. During "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These)," Manson made his way toward the back of the stage, where a prop featuring two giant pistols suddenly fell forward onto Manson. Video from the concert shows Manson grappling the prop before it comes crashing down to the stage.

After the stage crew lifted the prop back up, Manson lay on the ground for several minutes. EMT workers also rushed to the backstage area as venue workers yelled "Ice! Ice!" repeatedly.

On Friday in Pittsburgh, Manson tumbled off of the stage.. he told the crowd he broke his ankle calling his tour manager a fascist..

A President Tweets after a storm. And causes a Category 5 storm of Tweets.

In an 11-hour period beginning at 7:19 a.m. and ending at 6:46 p.m. Saturday, the President of the United States ripped off 18 -- yes, 18! -- tweets dealing with the dire situation in Puerto Rico following the devastation wrought by Hurricane Maria.

None of them were good.. it has created a monster of a problem for the President..

In the aftermath of a storm that ground Puerto Rico to a halt and turned off power for just about 100% of the people, the leader of the free world decided to blame Puerto Rico.. 

He attacked San Juan's Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz.. 


"They want everything to be done for them" he Tweeted at one point.. 
Then he slammed news organizations for being critical of him not responding to the crisis in Puerto Rico..

The entire fight became the focal point of the cold opening of last night's SNL ..

There is something strange afoot in the city of Seattle Washington -- a butterfly effect is causing strange emotions from people who are finding origami butterflies throughout public locations.. when the papers are unfolded, ominous messages appear..

"Origami butterflies with ominous messages have been found all around Seattle.The colorful creations look cheerful at first, but when unfolded, the phrase “you are not safe,” is revealed. A date is printed along with the message: 9-28-17.Even more puzzling are the illustrations, which include Russell Wilson, Kurt Cobain, the Starbucks siren, and a peace message. One of the notes features the Seattle skyline without its famous Space Needle landmark.A website is listed on some of the papers:  www.allgodsmustdie.com. Knowles out: It ain't cool

Harry Knowles, the movie blogger who founded Ain’t It Cool News, is taking a leave of absence from the popular fan site after being accused of sexually assaulting a number of women.

Knowles allegedly groped and harassed five women over the past few decades, according to multiple reports this week from IndieWire.



“Therapy, detox, and getting to a better place,” Knowles wrote of his departure on Facebook and Twitter late Tuesday. His sister will take over AICN in the interim.

New Line and Warner Bros is celebrating a renewed interest in the box office with IT's release..



Today the two studios have announced the release date for the sequel to IT as September 6, 2019, where it will debut in regular theaters and IMAX screens..

In metered market numbers, the primetime match-up between the 27-10 winning Washington Redskins and the Oakland Raiders snared an 11.6/20.

The worst SNF has performed this season so far, that’s an 8% dip from the early numbers of last week’s Atlanta Falcon’s 34-23 win over the Green Bay Packers. Gaining cheers and boos from fans at FedEx Field in Maryland last night, the third week of SNF for the 2017-2018 season declined 10% from early numbers of the comparable game of last year on September 25, 2016.

The outcome to the weekend is what I expected. Facebook and Twitter are filled with memes and jersey burnings, controversy and "I stand" logos overtop of people's profile photos... I have literally witnessed "virtual" online friendships ending this morning due to the kneeling controversy ...

Someone I know wrote a long post about how she will stay off of Facebook due to the debate. Perhaps I will do the same, only lurking from a safe distance.

This whole debacle about kneeling during the National Anthem has reminded me a little of the 'freedom fries' battle of the early 2000s. Back then France decided it would not support the United States war in Iraq. The Capitol cafeteria renamed French fries 'freedom fries' in a strange Orwellian protest. Some others in the nation followed with the same name...  

It was quite the hot topic then.

Cue now: 3 million without power in Puerto Rico, Houston still devasted, fires along the West Coast, Florida with many locations recovering, and a new hurricane looming in the Atlantic.. that coupled with some of the weirdest and most bizarre weather in a long time. North Korea threatening to shoot down a US plane.  Terrorist threats being made against soft targets... Crises abound.

And we? In America? We are busy. People are kneeling during a song.

We will get to those issues later.....

Russia’s southern Krasnodarsky Region has awoken to horrifying news about a pair of cannibals that could be responsible for up to 30 grisly murders, local media report citing police. Parts of some of the victims were reportedly stored for later consumption.

Some of the victims were in fridges… Some others in parts.

Apparently the couple has been involved with the kid napping and eating of people since 1999, last century.

Suddenly America's past time has divided the nation--or the President talking about it..

This past week, Donald Trump loudly stated that players who take needs during national anthems should be FIIIIIIRRREEEDDDD!.....

And this weekend? Many NFL players locked arms or kneeled in solidarity against the President, causing a new national fervor about the biggest game in the United States..



I wrote before that I suspected some odd conspiracy--ratings were down and now ... most likely up.

A wave of protests swept across the National Football League on Sunday as President Donald Trump escalated his feud with players who kneel during the US national anthem to draw attention to racial injustice.
Trump ignited a firestorm of criticism after comments on Friday in which he described NFL players who chose to take a knee through renditions of "The Star-Spangled Banner" as "sons of bitches" who should be fired.
The US leader doubled down on those remarks early Sunday, urging fans to boycott the NFL as long as the protests continued.
"If NFL fans refuse to go to games until players stop disrespecting our Flag & Country, you will see change take place fast. Fire or suspend!" Trump wrote on Twitter.
Yet players throughout America's most popular sport took a defiant stance on Sunday, in the largest such demonstration since former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick started the protests in 2016.
Trump was forced back into the issue tonight (and he LOVED every minute of it) ...

Trump, speaking to reporters on a New Jersey tarmac before boarding Air Force One, was asked for a reaction to the statement by New England Patriots owner (and Trump supporter) Robert Kraft about being “disappointed” by Trump’s recent comments.

Terrifying Apocalyptic Message Interrupts Orange County California TV Broadcast:

If you were watching HGTV in Orange County on Thursday morning, you may have been treated to a terrifying surprise.

As the channel switched to an emergency broadcast screen, an extremely loud, badly transmitted voice came over the speakers.

“Realize this, extremely violent times will come,” the voice said.

“It almost sounded like Hitler talking,” Stacy Laflamme told The OC Register. “It sounded like a radio broadcast coming through the television.”

TV viewers on both Cox Communications and Spectrum received the alert. According to the broadcasting companies, no one was sure why. They believe that some sort of radio emergency test tone was sent, which was picked up by the television stations. Instead of ending after a tone as usual, whichever station sent the alert did not send the ending code, and another radio transmission was picked up and continued to air.

With how intense the world has been lately–earthquakes, fires, fears, and hurricanes–this must have come at the completely wrong moment.

Taking a knee: Trump comments will undoubtedly increase NFL ratings

I am beginning to wonder if the new world order is just a fake fraud and cover up of the REAL conspiracy among us: TV executives working with Trump to get better ratings!



Think of it! Since the realDonald become the real president, ratings have gone up.. networks who despise the president are constantly capitalizing on their hate and the viewers dislike as well. And CNN!? It’s all Trump.. all the time. Morning, noon and night.

Cue the newest:
Donald Trump said the other night that NFL players who take a knee during the national anthem should be fired and thrown off the field. The NFL immediately didn’t like it.. Football players united in their dislike.. Some Democrats said ALL players should kneel.. And the President stands firm. 



Over the past several weeks, there have been video and pictures to prove just how unpopular the NFL has gotten. Stands not even half full on the latest Thursday night game? Ratings slumping? Interest in pee-wee sports down because of traumatic brain injuries, and NFL executives have been in a constant state of denial over retired players mental problems due to head injuries that took place during their short careers.

With Trump forcing the issue, riling up both sides with his rhetoric, and now, most likely, equaling and increase in ratings for the NFL.

WHO WILL STAND! WHO WILL KNEEL! WILL THE CAMERAS PAN BACK AND SHOW THE TEAM!? WILL WE JUST SEE THE FLAG!? WILL TRUMP TWEET!? WILL ‘ROCKET MAN’ EXPLODE!?

All the ratings are set to increase..

Yes indeed.

Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands brace for Hurricane Maria:

San Juan (AFP) - Hurricane Maria made landfall on Puerto Rico on Wednesday, pummeling the US territory after already killing at least two people on its passage through the Caribbean.

The US National Hurricane Center warned of “large and destructive waves” as Maria came ashore near Yabucoa on the southeast coast.

Puerto Rico’s Governor Ricardo Rossello has told residents to brace for “the worst storm of the last century”, opening 500 shelters that can accommodate 67,000 people.


“The wind sounds like a woman screaming at the top of her lungs!” photographer and storm chaser Mike Theiss posted on Twitter as the hurricane hit.

“We are getting absolutely hammered right now.”

Puerto Ricans had scrambled to board up windows and buy last minute supplies as the storm approached the densely populated island of 3.5 million.

“Puerto Rico being hit hard by new monster Hurricane,” tweeted US President Donald Trump.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – Police are searching for a woman who has been seen repeatedly defecating in a neighborhood while out running.

Cathy Budde says her kids saw the woman mid-squat and came running back in the house to tell her.

“They are like, ‘There’s a lady taking a poop!’ So I come outside, and I’m like … ‘are you serious?'” Budde said to the runner. “‘Are you really taking a poop right here in front of my kids?!’ She’s like, ‘Yeah, sorry!'”

The Great Mexico City Earthquake anniversary Earthquake

Thirty-two years to the day after an earthquake killed thousands of people in Mexico, a powerful quake rattled the country's central region Tuesday..



Again.. 32 years later. To the day..

Today across Mexico City, as people were prepping for earthquake drills and remembrances of what occurred then... and now today, what occurred in real time.

Videos of ground shaking.. buildings literally falling down.. NPR has this:
"We don't have an estimate yet from authorities of how many buildings — but just photos and videos from people in the street show there are many buildings collapsed so far," reporter James Fredrick told NPR. "The civil protection agency of Mexico City has confirmed that they're beginning excavation work for people trapped inside collapsed buildings."
Another problem loosed by the quake: Gas leaks have been reported across the city, some of which have already resulted in fires, according to Fredrick.
"God bless the people of Mexico City," President Trump tweeted Tuesday in the aftermath. "We are with you and will be there for you."

I gave this some thought today too as I watched the horror unfold: What if it was created by a common thought? ....32 years since one massive quake, and it was on everyone's mind. Did mass thought make a new one?  Can that happen? ... or is mother nature, churning with deadly hurricanes and now quakes, just that cruel?

History shows it? She is just that cruel.
"It's a law that all schools and public institutions have to do a safety drill on Sept. 19," Greg Berger, a journalist and professor in Cuernavaca, in the state of Morelos, told NPR's Adhiti Bandlamudi. His 10-year-old son had already taken part in a drill at school in the morning — "then it started shaking again, and my son told me that he thought it was another drill, but a high-tech drill. He thought it was kind of cool, because he thought they were making the floors move."

Just as collective consciousness can potentially move a storm, can it also create such heartbreak as we saw today?

Strong quake hits Mexico City

magnitude 7.1 earthquake jolted central Mexico on Tuesday, collapsing some buildings, cracking the facades of others and scattering rubble on streets on the anniversary of a devastating 1985 quake.



The quake caused buildings to sway sickeningly in Mexico City and sent panicked office workers streaming into the streets, but the full extent of the damage was not yet clear. Mexican media broadcast images of several collapsed buildings in heavily populated parts of the city.

The city was actually drilling for a quake TODAY.. just as the real one struck..

Dominica leveled

The fears are true.. the island of Domica, as the leader of the nation states, has lost just about everything that money can buy..  No word at this time as to the devesatation to life and limb.. Property, however, is destroyed..

The National Hurricane Center said Tuesday morning that Maria, now moving away from Dominica, had regained Category 5 strength, after briefly dropping to Category 4. The “potentially catastrophic” storm is expected to approach the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico on Wednesday, the center said.

The problem has long been this: The movie, in this reality,has never existed..

Recently a local radio station ran a poll asking listeners to call in to their station and write comments online as to what movie was the first they ever saw..

Two people wrote "SHAZAM."  The others, in response, stated that the movie never existed..

Two people just got hit with the reality that so many others have already lived through: The Mandela Effect, my friends, still alive and unwell...

Category 5 Maria decimates Dominica

Maria made landfall on Dominica, an island of 72,000 people in the Lesser Antilles, at 9:15 p.m. ET, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said. 
The island's prime minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, wrote on Facebook that his roof was gone, that his home was flooded and that he was "at the complete mercy of the hurricane." A few minutes later, he reported that he had been rescued. 
"Initial reports are of widespread devastation," Skerrit said in a later post. "So far we have lost all what money can buy and replace. So far the winds have swept away the roofs of almost every person I have spoken to or otherwise made contact with. The roof to my own official residence was among the first to go and this apparently triggered an avalanche of torn-away roofs in the city and the countryside."
Meanwhile .. the storm is building up strength again and heading for Puerto Rico..

Puerto Rico has imposed a rationing of basic supplies including water and baby formula as Hurricane Maria approaches as a Category 5 storm.

Officials said Monday that the rationing is necessary to ensure everyone has access to basic items such as batteries, milk, canned foods, flashlights and other supplies. It does not apply to gasoline or other fuels.

Shelves at many stores were emptying out quickly as people rushed to finalize hurricane preparations. Many posted desperate pleas on social media for help in finding certain items.

It is truly amazing to see how quickly this storm formed, how fast it turned into a category 4 and then 5.. and how much of an overnight monster-status it has achieved.

At this time, if it stays on course, it will be the strongest storm to hit Puerto Rico since 1928. The vast majority of people alive on the island never saw a storm this strong in their collective lifetimes..

Bobby the Brain Heenan: The greatest wrestling manager and announcer of all time passes away

Very sad news ..




Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, quite possibly the best manager and the best color commentator in American pro wrestling history, has died. The news was broken by Jim Ross. According to WWE, Heenan was 73.

Heenan, a Chicago native, got his start in a pair of Midwestern promotions, the World Wrestling Association and the American Wrestling Association. He was most famous for his run in the World Wrestling Federation, where he managed multiple champions in the 1980s and 1990s in his Heenan Family stable.

He managed Andre the Giant.. memorable in Wrestlemania 3.. 

Gorilla Monsoon 'fired' him on RAW... 

Complete gimmicks all the time. Each one more memorable than the previous. 

His battle with throat cancer was painful for all fans to watch .. but despite his ailments, he still made the autograph circuits fun for anyone who wanted to meet him. He never lost his humor and wit..

He was one of the main reasons growing up I grew to also love professional wrestling..

Maria about to become an historic storm of epic proportions..

The year of the hurricane continues ..  




As of 11 a.m., Maria had grown into a "rapidly intensifying" Category 3 storm with maximum sustained winds of 120 mph and was about 60 miles east of Martinique, a French island that is home to some 400,000 people, the National Hurricane Center said. 

Maria could grow into a "major hurricane" by Monday night or early Tuesday as it takes aim at Puerto Rico's southern coast, the hurricane center said...

This will be he first time since 1928 that Puerto Rico had a cat 4 or 5 storm hit it.. 

And then? Looking more like landfall along the United States east Coast may occur..

Just getting around to CHANNEL 0 CANDLE COVE

...Late to the game on this.. It has been a tremendously long year with way too many distractions to count.

But this weekend finally getting accustomed to CHANNEL 0 CANDLE COVE.. It is a SYFY original based on a creepypasta, and it has a good nostalgic 'stranger things' type of feel to it.

Highly recommended from the HORROR REPORT..

The show only had a few episodes, but was greenlighted for a new season 2..

A child psychologist (Paul Schneider) returns to his small home town to investigate the mysterious disappearance of his twin brother and a slew of other children in the 1980s, and how it is connected to a bizarre local children's television show that aired at the same time.

The No-End House (2017)
A young woman named Margot Sleator (Amy Forsyth) visits the No-End House, a bizarre house of horrors that consists of a series of increasingly disturbing rooms. When she returns home, Margot realizes everything has changed.

One part of season 1 that somewhat chilled me a bit was the tooth-child!




Aside from just the puppets of Candle Cove, Channel Zero’s first season is inhabited by what appears to be a young boy made entirely out of teeth. “So the Tooth Child,” Antosca explained, “came to me in a nightmare. After envisioning this thing, it harkened back the ideas of childhood, of losing your teeth, of growing up, and of having recurring dreams that explored all of these things. When I proposed the idea of the creature, it struck a chord with the writers’ room. We had some fantastic artists, who also worked on Hannibal, create the suit for us and we couldn’t be happier with it. For the record, no those aren’t real teeth.”
That is frightening an brilliant! It preys on the deepest and darkest fears I have always had as well..

I never trusted the Tooth Fairy growing up. I always pictured him or her as some beastly and ghastly creature that stole teeth and ended up doing sordid things with them--this before I knew just how horrible humanity itself could be.

This tooth child  would be, in my nightmare, what the tooth fairy looks like.
Horrid.

So happy to hear that the show will be back for me..

IT continues to make some box office history

IT easily beat mother! this weekend .. It wasn't great competition, but it's a good victory nonetheless.



And some facts: In its first 10 days, the film adaptation of Stephen King's novel has earned $218.7 million domestically, passing up Get Out ($175.5 million) to become the No. 2 R-rated horror film of all time behind The Exorcist, not accounting for inflation. 

It is already the top-grossing September release in history. 

IT will finish its North American run with north of $300 million.

Overseas: IT is grossing $60.3 million in its second weekend from 56 markets for a foreign tally of $152.6 million and a stunning $371.3 million worldwide against a $35 million budget. 

Highlights included a record-breaking horror opening of $13.8 million in Mexico.

A perfect horror movie for the age of TRUMP.

REAL LIFE FUNERAL HOME HORROR: BLOOD LEAKS

Residents spotted the disturbing sight of blood seeping out onto the road from a Louisiana undertaker’s business on Thursday afternoon.

Gruesome photographs show red liquid trickling onto a back street from a valve outside the Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge. City officials said a stoppage in a line had caused the blood, which was mixed with an embalming fluid containing formaldehyde, to leak from a storage tank located behind the building.

The leak lasted for only about 20 minutes, however, and the liquid mix did not find its way into the city’s sewer system, per multiple reports.

Maria tracks Irma's early path

Watch this storm ..

Jose is meandering around the East Coast.. may or may not graze a few cities, but even if so will not be a strong category.

All bets are off for Maria, which is now following a freakily similar path to what IRMA did -- right over some of the worst hit islands of the Caribbean.. places still regrouping and trying to figure out how to rebuild lives and property..

The latest on Maria:

A Tropical Storm watch was in effect for St. Lucia, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Dominica, Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
"Hurricane conditions are possible within the hurricane watch area by Monday night or Tuesday, with tropical storm conditions possible on Monday," the National Hurricane Center said.
Although forecast tracks can change dramatically over the coming week, maps on Saturday show the storm moving on an Irma-like path over Puerto Rico on Wednesday and Hispaniola Thursday morning heading straight toward the Florida Keys.



Keep in mind how horrible a situation right now some of these islands are facing.. Places like Barbuda .. places like the once beautiful St. Martin..

life or start over elsewhere?
Irma hit the shared Dutch and French Caribbean island as a Category 5 hurricane with winds in excess of 200 miles an hour, turning the picturesque tourist haven into a sweltering trash heap without power, water or communications. What the hurricane didn’t steal, looters often did.



Now the bullseye again exists on them and other places attempting to recover...
From there? Maria may hit the Carolinas in a long range outlook..
And it's not over with her.
After Maria, another impressive wave that just emitted from the Continent of Africa looks enterprising in nature and strong in convection. An early named storm may result.. And that one, more than any this year, should be watched.
