The movie is a gory, R-rated political thriller that depicts liberal “elites” hunting people in red states for sport. Trump criticized the planned movie on Twitter Friday, without mentioning its name, saying it was intended “to inflame and cause chaos.”

Universal had already suspended the marketing campaign for the film, which stars Oscar winner Hilary Swank and is directed by Craig Zobel.

But the studio said in a statement Saturday that it had decided to cancel release altogether, saying “we understand that now is not the time” for the film.

“The dinosaur skull was an unfortunate thing, because I did spend $276,000 on that,” he told the magazine’s David Marchese. “I bought it at a legitimate auction and found out it was abducted from Mongolia illegally, and then I had to give it back. Of course it should be awarded to its country of origin. But who knew? Plus, I never got my money back. So that stank.”

But that incident sparked a new interest in the 55-year-old actor: a quest for the Holy Grail.

“I started following mythology and I was finding properties that aligned with that. It was almost like National Treasure,” he said. “It’s like when you build a library. You read a book, and in it there’s a reference to another book, and then you buy that book, and then you attach the references. For me it was all about where was the grail? Is it at Glastonbury? Does it exist?”

He continued, “Yeah, if you go to Glastonbury and go to the Chalice Well, there’s a spring that does taste like blood. I guess it’s really because there’s a lot of iron in the water. But legend had it that in that place was a grail chalice, or two cruets rather, one of blood and one of sweat. But that led to there being talk that people had come to Rhode Island, and they were looking for something as well.”

It may have been the literal search for a while, but Cage came to a conclusion after also trekking through England. “What I ultimately found is: What is the Grail but Earth itself?” he said.

Fox, which carries the ceremony this year, and the Television Academy have decided to not have a host on the show, which takes place a month and a half from now, on September 22. Fox Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier just confirmed the news during the network’s TCA executive session.

“Our job is to assess as to how to elevate the program in the year that we have it,” Collier said of the Primetime Emmys, which rotate annually among the Big 4 networks. “If you have a host and an opening, that’s 15 or 20 minutes you can‘t have to salute the shows.”

Virginia Giuffre, who says that Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her to powerful people for erotic massages and sex, claimed in depositions in 2016 that Maxwell directed her to have sex with former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, Britain’s Prince Andrew (whom she has accused before), wealthy financier Glenn Dubin, former senator George Mitchell, now-deceased MIT scientist Marvin Minsky, and modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, as well as “another prince,” a “foreign president,” a well-known prime minsiter" and the owner of a “large hotel chain” in France.

None of the men named in the deposition have been charged with a crime or even sued in civil court in connection with the Epstein case. The deposition represents accuser Giuffre’s allegations, and the court documents unsealed on Friday did not contain any corroboration or further details, though many documents remain sealed.

The 66-year-old hanged himself, according to law enforcement sources.

Epstein was awaiting trial on charges of conspiracy and sex trafficking and was being held at the high-security complex without bail.


Just yesterday Bill Richardson and George Mitchell were high profile. Ames accused of utilizing the Epstein planes to pedophile island.. 
His death comes two weeks after Epstein, 66, was placed on suicide watch after he was found slumped in his cell with injuries to his neck.

Giuffre accused the duo of keeping her as a “sex slave” in the early 2000s when she was underage.

Robert D. Betts, the father of Connor D. Betts, was unaware that his son’s death was being used to discredit Sunday’s mass shooting when Newsweek contacted him by telephone on Monday.

“The names are just a coincidence,” Robert D. Betts told Newsweek. “He died five years ago in a construction accident. It’s unfortunate that people are linking my son’s death to the Ohio shooting.”

Robert D. Betts on Monday told Newsweek his son’s death was well documented by journalists in 2014.

Connor D. Betts was killed on February 19, 2014, in South Windsor, Connecticut, after being electrocuted when attempting to clean out snow from the dump truck he was driving, according to NBC Connecticut, who reported the story back in February 2014.

Witnesses at the time said when the open-box bed of the dump truck was raised to clean out the snow, the bed made contact with live wires and energized the vehicles.

“The driver [Connor D. Betts] had exited the vehicle and made contact with his energized truck and was stricken and went down,” South Windsor Police Lieutenant Scott Custer told NBC Connecticut in 2014.

Lloyd Folsom, Jr., 55, the owner of Folsom Construction, jumped out of his truck to help Connor D. Betts but was also electrocuted when he too touched the vehicle. Paramedics were unable to save either man. NBC Connecticut’s reporting matched what Robert D. Betts told Newsweek via telephone on Monday.

It contained a primer on humanity and its achievements: thousands of books, DNA samples, textbooks and the secrets to David Copperfield’s magic tricks. It also contained thousands of dehydrated tardigrades – microscopic animals, commonly called “water bears,” known for being able to survive extreme conditions that prove fatal for nearly all other known lifeforms.

But on April 11, 2019, Beresheet’s gyroscopes failed and it crashed into the moon.

“For the first 24 hours we were just in shock,” Nova Spivack, found of Arch Mission Foundation, which seeks to create “a backup of planet Earth,” told Wired. “We sort of expected that it would be successful. We knew there were risks but we didn’t think the risks were that significant.”

The team knew the lander was toast. But subsequent analyses revealed that the lunar library likely survived the crash, meaning the tardigrades might have too. Tardigrades possess the rare ability to essentially stop their metabolism and enter a dormant, desiccated state. Although these tiny creatures only live for a few months, some have been put into a dormant state for 10 years and then were successfully revived. One was even revived after 30 years.

Chaos erupted in Times Square on Tuesday night as people stormed out of the area when a backfiring motorcycle was mistaken for gunshots.

The false alarm took place around 10 p.m. as a loud boom sent tourists darting into restaurants and theaters, disrupting a performance of “To Kill a Mockingbird” at the Shubert Theatre on 44th Street near 7th Avenue.

“Stopped our show tonight due to a motorcycle backfire that was mistaken for a bomb or shooting,” tweeted cast member Gideon Glick.

“Screaming civilians tried to storm our theater for safety… This is the world we live in. This cannot be our world.”

The NYPD was quick to quell the fears, sending out a tweet explaining the false alarm.

“There is no #ActiveShooter in #TimesSquare,” the department’s Midtown North precinct tweeted at 10:09 p.m.

The liberal-leaning media will not call out the domestic terrorists and radicalized political groups that they believe share the idea of resistance. This breeds contempt.

The sequel, It Chapter Two, could be set to surpass its predecessor, however, with Boxoffice Pro projecting that it will bring in over $130 million in its opening weekend. Their chief analyst Shawn Robbins writes:

“With director Andy Muschietti returning, the promise of this being the end of the story, and — perhaps most intriguingly — an ensemble cast with several popular adult actors the likes of Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, and Bill Hader taking over their kid counterpart roles, there may arguably be just as much of a ‘must see’ status for Chapter Two as there was for the first film. Perhaps, initially, even more of one.

This is the one many horror fans have waited for–what will they do with the story.. stay true to the spider? The ending? The sex.. the intrigue.. the suicides? The murders? There are rumors of a horribly blood soaked scene coming in this film that just about made the R rating cut…

The made for TV movie ending was not much to be desired.. but CGI effects in the early 1990s were not either.
