In a statement, FBI Director Christopher Wray said he is committed to getting to the bottom of what went wrong. According to the FBI, the tip received on January 5 included references to Cruz’s gun ownership, his desire to kill people, erratic behavior, his social media posts, and specifically the potential that he may conduct a school shooting.

Missing skier found in Sacramento took big rig after being lost near Lake Placid 


Constantinos “Danny” Filippidis, a Toronto firefighter, was wearing the snow gear his friends last saw him in Feb. 7 before he went missing at the Whiteface Mountain ski resort in Wilmington, N.Y., prompting a massive search that included state and federal agencies…

According to police, Filippidis purchased a phone at some point.. he reports he rode in a ‘big rig’ but has no memory of what it looked like or who drove it ..

The mystery that may be shrouded forever …

An official search began a few hours after he was last seen, the New York State Police said in a news release following Filippidis’ disappearance. Search crews of about 140 people, including state forest rangers, police, resort staff and volunteers, scoured the area looking for him, said Jon Lundin, a spokesman for the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority, which runs the ski resort.

Dozens of Filippidis’ colleagues traveled to the Whiteface Mountain ski resort after he went missing.

The state’s emergency management and fire prevention department, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection also joined the search.

Hampton said he did not know Filippidis’ medical state Wednesday morning. New York State Police Major John H. Tibbitts Jr. said during an afternoon news conference that he had been released from the hospital and was en route to New York to speak to investigators. The news conference aired on the website of New York television station WNYT.

Filippidis has agreed to speak to New York police as they piece together the circumstances surrounding the incident, Tibbitts said. The state police is asking anyone who may have seen Filippidis during his trip from New York to Sacramento to call 518-873-2750

An armed New Mexico man broke into the house of YouTubers Megan Turney and Gavin Free last month, forcing the couple to hide in their closet and await police. Christopher Giles drove 11 hours from Albuquerque to the couple’s home in Austin, Texas, and his “sole intent was to cause harm to someone who resides there,” according to a search warrant obtained by KXAN. Giles allegedly shot at police, who returned fire, killing Giles.
Both Turney and Free are popular social media stars; Turney is a former Rooster Teeth host and cosplayer, while Free is the creator of science and tech series The Slow Mo Guys. The incident took place on January 26th, after police received a call from a woman who said she and her boyfriend awoke to the sound of a gunshot and breaking glass. The Albuquerque Journal reports that not only did Giles’ phone include notes demonstrating a “fondness” for Turney specifically, but showed hostility toward her boyfriend, Free. “A search of Giles’ cellular phone identified various notations identifying Megan Turney and Gavin Free by name,” the documents read. “Furthermore, threatening thoughts were recorded by Giles and directed toward Gavin Free, i.e., ‘I want Gavin Free to die alone, with no children.’ ”

With a 12.7/21 in metered market ratings, the Recording Academy’s big hootenanny was also way down from the early numbers for the LA-based February 13, 2017 59th annual show. By way down, I mean a just over 20% decline from last year to what looks to be an all-time low for the ceremony.

Facing the midseason debut of The Walking Dead and even a bit more competition on the rest of the Big 4 than last night’s show, last year’s Adele dominated Grammys eventually claimed 26.05 million viewers and a 7.8 rating among adults 18-49 when the final numbers came in.
