Strange noises heard in Louisiana.. video posted on YouTube

The tale of the tape. Or in this situation the tale of the YouTube upload.

A YouTube user 0ToolingAround0 uploaded a video to YouTube on October 7, 2012. Video showcases a dark scene in Louisiana with a haunting earth moaning sound, not similar to the Kiev noise or others, but in this situation like a distant motorcycle race or a roaring sound coming from somewhere in the distance.. No horns or trumpets. Just a deep moan of foreboding trouble.

The user writes in the description:

The time was about 1:30 in the morning and this noise had already been going for a while. I decided to see if our camera could pick up the audio. Not sure what it is but I got in trouble last fall when I heard this noise every night and tried to go find where it was coming from. It sounds like it's coming from the sky and this time its twice as loud as it was last fall. I know it sounds mechanical in nature but almost sounds like some machine is flying in the sky but just hovering. And when the noise gets louder the wind picks up also. Recorded in northwest Louisiana. The sound is it's most intense starting @5:20. At about 5:37 I started feeling the sound on my skin which is why you hear me gasp.

Of course those who have seen the video are speculating .. some are calling the user's upload a hoax. Others are going as far as saying that gases are coming through the New Madrid Seismic zone!

Either way it's another video of those same odd noises being heard across the planet. Either they are all fakes and frauds, or something troubling is coming from either deep under the crust or high above in the sky.

EMERGING ARTIST: THE COOL SOUND OF LIBRICIDE

The HORROR REPORT is your typical reserve for scary movies and real events, horrific stories of ghostly tales.. even as we had on yesterday a mixture of Lady Gaga, Elvis hauntings, and dead skin cells floating around New York City. But we also have a deep appreciation of music and often are trying to find newer better stuff.

I discovered some of LIBRICIDE's music videos on YouTube. The band describes itself as a progressive rock/fusion band out of New York City. According to it's website they do some touring around New York and now and then Pennsylvania.

I was struck by the music.. the great sound, the professional talent that the band seems to possess. Plus that, the YouTube account also features some acoustic songs and remakes of others, including one of WISH YOU WERE HERE by PINK FLOYD. Another song called SOMEBODY'S DAUGHTER has a fun and melancholy feel to it .. As one comment says it sounds very Foo Fighter-ish, but still maintains its own original sound..

I spoke to Harun Gadol of LIBRICIDE and got the chance to ask some questions.

My initial question was on the band's name itself. LIBRICIDE customarily refers to book burning. So it was intriguing to see that as the name. Gadol said, "Its sort of a reference to and play on something that's not only been going on for ages but seems more prevalent today than ever before. Its not just books, or CD's & DVD's, but all media and knowledge in general."

Gadol says he has been on the local scene around New York City with different bands and other projects for some time. But in 2011 he formed LIBRICIDE and the band's lineup flucuated and grew as it came in contact with different members looking to join.

I asked Gadol if there was a specific reason why it seemed SOMEBODY'S DAUGHTER was released before others.. he said, "We actually didn't intend to have one particular main song or single. The reason we chose to release what we did first was because that was some of the more accessible material we had at the time." Gadol continues, "Some of our other stuff is much more diverse (while still trying to maintain a tasteful approach). You could call Somebody's Daughter our power ballad so to speak; its lyrics are pretty self-explanatory."

The great way the words mixed with music made me wonder what they wrote first. (A question I would love to know of everyone who in music). Gadol said, "Often times I'll have an idea in mind or we'll have some music and work to build it from there. It really just depends on what best suits each song. The studio also helps bring them to life with all the extra instrumentation, vocals, experimentation, etc."

According to Gadol, more touring is coming. He's hopeful that the band will make its way not only around local places in New York City but also the entire tri-state area. Right now they are taking time off from live shows to work on the new album, set to be released in 2013. A new album I will anticipate it..

On Sunday, US health officials reported 27 new cases of the deadly disease.. Now 91 cases. 7 dead. All from a painkiller--a steroid that has led to crisis within the states where the disease is hitting..

The source of the steroid injection that is causing this outbreak is from a New England company from Farmingham, Massachusetts. The company name is Compounding Center Inc.

The company has now issued a voluntary recall on all products.

VOLUNTARY!? You have got to be kidding.

91 being hit with meningitis linked to a steroid injection from its company and it's all voluntary? See something amiss? See how pharmaceuticals have been permitted to dominate with greed but no creed?

The hunt for more victims is now underway .. Don't think for a second this will stop at 91 cases..

Things that go bump in the night have been making headlines for months. Towns hearing odd noises, booms, loud bangs.. Cities hearing the same.

And now comes this: An explanation of some noises coming from below the crust. According to new research: Magma creeps up through a crack in the Earth's crust and mixes with water. When it does it sets off a series of explosions, sometimes for hours, sometimes for weeks.

I doubt this new model could explain all noises away. But it's a start.

There may be some who say Elvis still lives, but others admit the truth: The once amazing star of music lore is long gone. But is his spirit?

That is what a paranormal team is looking in to right now.. According to rumor, Elvis Presley's ghostly spirit may be frequenting the location where the 1960 movie FLAMING STAR was filmed. He was in that film.. It's not the Buckhorn Motel at 5900 East Main Street in Mesa. This weekend, with this new story, it's getting a ton of attention...

The Arizona Paranormal Investigations team will conduct a session research at the site.. (What better time of year than October to do that, of course). But this time, the public is invited to attend the 6pm to 9pm 'investigation' at the Buckhorn.. persons are being invited by the Mesa Historical Museum--as it is a fundraiser.

Don't get me wrong. I am sure folks are "all shook up" about the chances that Elvis has not left the building--and I mean absolutely no offense to the Mesa historical group--but the chances of finding anything except a public relations event from this is impossible. It's meant to be a fundraiser. It's not meant, in spirit, to find a spirit. That is at least my humble opinion.

“We don’t know exactly when he stayed there, but we’re trying to find out,” said Lisa Anderson, executive director of the Mesa Historical Museum. “But there’s evidence that Elvis likely stayed here at some point; we’re just trying to find out exactly when. We’re going through ledgers to see when he would’ve checked in, but there’s also the possibility that he could’ve checked in under an assumed name.”

So we have a fundraiser, an inability to know when Elvis was even there, and a public 'investigation'. Ghost hunting can be fun.. but in this situation I can't help but thinking it's ALL FUN.

According to press reports, a factory owned by chemical maker Hube Global exploded on September 27. Since then, over 3000 people in South Korea near the city of Gumi have received medical attention--the explosion caused hydrofluouric acid to affect crops, livestock and people..

According to the stories circulating, people have been receiving treatment for a list of symptoms, the least of which was nausea and rashes, the worst chest pains and throat problems and blood in saliva..

Reports indicate that a strong and 'acrid' smell is in the air over villages.

South Korea officials are probing into what caused the explosion that has led to this medical crisis. In the mean time, dozens of villagers are evacuating the scene before their health problems get worse.

Think of that for a second. A man made hunk of junk is far far away and never to return .. It's seeing things all of on this planet may never in our lifetime. It's going far beyond where any human has gone. Is it a UFO now for some faraway planet?

The implications are enormous. If truly in fact the Voyager is eying another place in space and synod the confines of our little home in the universe..

Gossip rags in feeding frenzy after NYC inspection says Lady Gaga's restaurant isn't clean

The Smoking Gun website started it all when it began trickling out information that the New York City restaurant owned by Lady Gaga and her family received several citations in a recent inspection.. The early October inspection of Joanne Trattoria received several infractions along with serious contamination warnings.. One commenter on the Smoking Gun article joked that she'd rather eat at Joanne Fabrics..

So now on the Internet a firestorm ensues.. One mocking Gaga and family over dirty conditions.. One mocking Gaga over her weight gain by eating at the family business too often. Yes the media feeding frenzy of gossip rags and superficial websites can be cruel.

What is clear is this: The NYC eatery needs to clean up some seriously bad conditions for the safety of its patrons. And also clear: Regardless of whether it does the is guilty again of propping up a star and then tearing her down.

But with this go around on character assassination at the hands of paparazzi and trash pubs, there is a new factor to consider: That the bigger she is the harder she'll fall.

Pretty disgusting stuff don't you think? It's hardly a few months after mass murder and already some heartless folks are making cash off of true heartache..

Halloween costumes can often be controversial though. Remember when Bill Mahar dressed as the dead Crocodile Hunter freshly after a stingray killed him?

But the idea of wearing this from face of death is a little shocking, in fact an equally shocking item is how quick someone can capitalize on horror.. They can sleep at night? I suppose.. It's capitalism after all.

eBay made the right choice to pull the mask. I have seen some online rumblings of people saying the mask seller's right to sell was violated. But eBay has an equal right to choose its rules. If the government tells eBay or the seller what to sell I'll concede a constitutional violation.

But deep down for those who want the mask, I can only ask simply: what would make someone want to dress up like James Holmes?
