I woke up in the middle of the night.. craving water and a chocolate chip cookie. So I had to raid my son's drawer for that.. Before trying to cure insomnia with sugar, I checked the temperature gauge: 45 degrees. In August. The dog days that aren't...instead you best get one of those tacky sweater vests for your dog this week..

Watching the Gulf: A storm system may strike right near New Orleans or directly on it.. how strong will it get before hitting? It's in the western Caribbean now. From there a number of possibilities exist.. Henry Margusity wrote on his Facebook page today, "The danger with the system in the Gulf this weekend will be the sudden intensification within a few hundred miles of the coast."


Accuweather issues winter hints: Autumn 2013 will be a slow transition to cold for the Northeast but quick for the Midwest.. But if you make it through November in the Midwest, Accuweather says it all gets warm from there..


Federal government closes 600 weather stations.. And we still rely on them for accurate forecasts?


Obamascare: Now word comes that 'forced' home inspections may be the near future norm! The actual website from HHS states that "high risk" homes will be targeted for government visits .. Maybe it was angels: George Noory takes to an anti-Noory message board to take on 'haters'

For those who are not familar with Art Bell, George Noory, and the longstanding website CoastGab.com (now BellGab), this post from "Crockasocks" on the message board will be of no interest. For anyone else, though, it's a magical moment. 
The Coastgab message board has featured a "George Noory sucks" thread for years, in which users freely posted their anger about what has happened to the radio show Coast to Coast AM since Art Bell left--and others in the message board offered up hilarious images of Noory et. al. Sometimes it got nasty. Since Art Bell announced he was coming back, the message board slowed down.
Until Dave Noorie...err... George Noory decided to post. And post he did, offering up comments on posters on the site, and proving it was him by stating on air during his live program little sentences that users requested he say to prove it was him. He even  offered a pray for a Bellgabber's cat named Goatsie--still not determined if that's real or a prank, and don't Google it!

George Noory further went on to post a detailed message to users:
Why do you doubt my sincerity. Yes I called SOME of you haters, and those who have posted extremely mean spirited things are and they know who they are. You probably know who as well. Why did this take so long to pop in, I actually expected to be attacked on all fronts yesterday and it didn;t happen.
Like I said last night, we have 10 people who love us to the 1 who does not, but it's the one who doesnt that I learn from. Not the true hater, I cant learn from them , but many many of you who listen day in and day out,---that's who I want to listen to.
Was it timed to Art's show, not at all. HOWEVER it was a wake up call for me. I have fought back at those who have emailed
rude and insincere remarks, that's me. BUT NEVER will I take the first volley.
If someone doesnt think they can grow and learn everyday then they are kidding themselves. Bellgabers, I am far from perfect
and realize that I can get better. A few things you DONT know. I was born with a someone deformed tongue. Dont laugh!!!
You should have heard me as a boy. It took me years to challenge myself to talk before a crowd, etc. I did that and Im dam proud of that, my military career (yes Ive said before I never saw combat) and the people I care deeply for.
And yes that includes many of you. Im not Art, I'll never be Art so dont compare me to him. Ive kept this show alive when it was near death. We have grown it and now I'll take your pointers and make myself even better. Gotta run
Noory went on to defend himself, arguing with posters who said he had a lackluster performance as the main host over the past decade..
But perhaps most poignant: Noory wrote that he decided to 'kick  it up a notch' ... and admitted that he found something he 'lost a long long time ago'...

It's almost mid-month . a late summer's night nightmare may soon set in. I just cannot how fast time expires, and certainly cannot fathom another coming autumn of our lives. But yet it's upon us. Today's weather after last night's amazing summer sunset is cool, crisp, and has a slight hint of fall.. Shouldn't we have dog days providing heat and humidity this time of year? Though I'm not complaining, I am surprised.. From the 100s of July to the cool breeze of ...August.. And fall didn't even start yet. Though back to school sales are in full swing, and buses are being washed. It was always the most depressing time to be a kid..
The time, as usual, is ripe for news. So here it is.

The priest who has now been identified as the mystery man at the Missouri crash tries to bring back some paranormal again: He said he thinks there were angels at the scene..











Here is an a fascinating question I have often pondered: How many people have EVER lived..?


Are you a fan of Splenda? Maybe after reading these adverse health effects, you will change your sweetener of choice to something else..

So much news.. so little time..

With images like this, who needs horror movies!? The earth appears to be in a cross-fire of asteroids. .but we're told there is 'little' to worry about.. Thank God for that, I suppose. If you believe them--whoever the experts are that want to relieve us of our fears..

There is some proof that the world is changing beyond our wildest dreams--or nightmare depending on your point of view.. the UK DAILY MAIL is reporting today on the world's first genetically modified baby! If they could do it to food, I suppose it was only a matter of time until they did it to babies..

Remember when people were able to lampoon presidents as a pastime? Not anymore, friends.. If you're a clown who dresses like President Obama you could end up in sensitivity training and find yourself banned for life for the crime of comedy at the Missouri fair..
And if that's not enough, the NAACP may say that the both the Secret Service and the Department of Justice should investigate!

While we fret about clowns dressed as the Dear Leader of the US of A, we are being faced with another farce of epic proportions: The once great American media forgetting or purposely ignoring a crisis slowly motioning into a making: There are fears tonight that the entire Pacific Ocean may get contaminated from Fukushima.. The disaster that never ends--and that few in the world are hearing about..

When you thought you heard it all, you hear this: A Georgia man has been arrested for stabbing and beheading puppies..


Swedish fish.. the kind that eat testicles.. Seriously, a warning has gone out to men to avoid crotch chomping fish!


This video is sure to get the attention of the underground.. maybe not the mainstream, sadly.. but it's worth watching a 14-year-old stand up to a Monsanto shill!

UNDER THE DOME down again in ratings..despite the strange 'monarch will be crowned' mystery that aired Monday night.. Was season 2 a mistake in the making??



Science attempts to solve what near death experiences are.. the latest study carried out on dying rats found high levels of brainwaves at the point of the end .. the conclusion is that NDEs are simply electrical surges in a dying brain --no matter how real people say they were, I suppose science will attempt to explain their experiences away as something tricking them in the dying moments of their lives.. It's worth solving, perhaps this mystery is.. but on second thought, maybe not. Because if we don't have something better to look forward to than earth, what the hell is it all worth anyway? Maybe leaving this issue alone, and leaving it a mystery, would be the best thing for humankind..?

Of course you can look at it this way, too: For these rats, consciousness seemed to survive their deaths.. ... for whatever that may be worth or whatever it may mean..

After days of speculation that the world witnessed a miracle, the mystery priest along the Missouri highway where an accident took place has been identified as Father Patrick Dowling, of the Diocese of Jefferson City.

He described the scene in an interview and the prayers he offered..

The book has been closed on the miracle ... perhaps those with little faith will chalk it up to normal duties of a normal priest, while others will proclaim it was the power of prayer that helped the woman avoid death..

Monday sinkhole: Now a big one opens near Disney World!

There is an overabundant amount of news today regarding sinkholes ..

From sea to sea, coast to coast.. country to country..

The latest information that you need to know:

A sinkhole opened overnight in Florida, and it is actually causing a resort near Disney World to collapse! The latest information on the scene is that a sinkhole beneath a building at Summer Bay Resort in Clermont getting deeper.. officials say it's not clear yet if the sinkhole is also getting wider. The Red Cross is on the scene, as a three-story structure collapsed around 3am Monday--this was also evacuated and no injuries occurred..

The Florida sinkhole is right int he middle of the resort.. the AP reports that a large crack is also visible on the building's base.. The latest on how big: The sinkhole is not 40 to 60 feet deep .. According to reports, there were complaints around 11:30 pm Sunday that the building was shaking .. Around 3:20 AM, a part of the building suddenly broke in half.. At this point another section of the same villa appears to be sinking..

The most noteworthy part of this Florida situation is that it is very close to Disney World.. CNN reporting this morning that the sinkhole is still growing.
