BOOM! Sleepless in Clintonville-- and maybe more towns, too.

Noises and booms have kept residents awake several nights this week--mysterious sounds that have unnerved the town.. authorities have yet to find the source of the loud bangs and claps ... residents are on edge, and the story has received worldwide attention after being broadcast on CNN and other sources.

From the AP: The Wisconsin town just wants relief from the noises. According to the AP dispatch filed tonight on the Clintonville story, several residents are considering abandoning their lives in the town until officials figure out just what the noises are and where they are coming from. One resident quoted by the AP said that the noise shook her house.

As of now, no natural source has been found to be the culprit of the bangs. As the AP writes,
City officials say they have investigated every possible human cause. They checked water, sewer and gas lines, contacted the military about any exercises in the area, reviewed permits for mining explosives and inspected a dam next to city hall. They even tested methane levels at the landfill in case the gas was spontaneously exploding.
Some are scared.. some are worried.
And while Clintonville shakes literally, this news arrives tonight: Police in Montello are investigating reports of booming noises similar to those happening in Clintonville! NBC15 in Madison Wisconsin reports that loud rumbles in Montello are shaking windows and rattling homes, just as what is occurring in Clintonville.

The earth has not been a stranger to loud booms, rumbles, horns, and noises. Since last March, there has been a steady stream of reports from around the globe, starting in Kiev, of strange trumpet noises blasting through the sky. Sometimes during the day.. many times during the night. Loud booms and other noises are often natural occurrences. But the consistency and oddity of the noises coming from Clintonville, and maybe now other towns, is a cause for pause.. and concern. And confusion.

Clintonville isn't just letting the strangeness go by without further looking: They hired a firm to figure out what exactly is going bump in the night.

The Earth Informer (and lots of other sources) are going to closely watch this story ...
