A worsening scene: 44 states see unemployment increases

The economy is feeble at best, but these new numbers help put huge doubts in claims that the recovery is continuous. According to new numbers issued by the government, unemployment has increased in 44 states in the last month.. MORE HERE

Some say that the increases are a sign of an 'improving' economy and more people 'searching for jobs.'

Others however see the obvious: Since 2007  the economy began a decline which became more steep in 2008 and 2009. Since that point, real jobless numbers have been much above the amount accounted for by official government numbers--probably 20% or above. Youth unemployment has drastically decreased.  And finally, the human toll has been enormous. People are losing mental abilities as they suffer the decline of their own livelihood, college kids cannot find jobs in their majors, and we are creating a lost generation that is not able to afford their own homes. The giant sucking sound that began in 1993 with NAFTA is finally ending...but the sound has changed: Now instead of sucking, it's contracting, and what is going away is the once vibrant American middle class.

That is the true picture of the economy.
And the fact unemployment has increased in 44 states of 50 won't surprise people, but it may shock the ones in the six states where employment increased since they are still affected by the same national quandary we all find ourselves in.
