The art world is buzzing today about a repair job gone wrong. Officials wanted a 19th Century fresco by Spanish painter Elias Garcia Martinez to be retouched. Age had taken its toll. So why not hire on an elderly person to do it!? Nothing can go wrong with that.
Until this occurred:
It went very wrong..
Christ almighty, this got ruined.
The image became a blurry figment of someone's imagination. It appeared that Christ went from savior to monkey in just a few broad strokes. His mouth vanished and his beard was gone... His eyes went from looking to the heavens to pure black .. his nose thinned out ..
While people are angry at the woman, they are not saying she did it for spite..
I can't help myself but think of the MR. BEAN movie in which he attempts to fix the Mona Lisa after ruining it .. Maybe this woman should have called in Rowan Atkinson for advice..
