There is a strange creeping feeling tonight that summer is quickly fading away. Crickets are losing their loud muster. Oh, and it got dark earlier than any other night I can remember for months! Not just dark. But a very dark dark. There is a thick fog that has descended after a late summer rainstorm, the temperature is cool but the air is muggy. It just has that feeling that school is about to come back, kids will be back in college again, and before long all the leaves will fall, leaving behind a dim memory of heat and laughter.
Yes indeed, summer is quickly coming to an end.
