Tropical depression: Could the Republicans postpone their convention? Or even cancel!?

It's possible that if the track for Tropical Storm Isaac (by next week maybe a hurricane) continues to look ominous, the GOP may have to seriously reconsider having their convention.

The Wall Street JOURNAL reports, it could end up causing the GOP to postpone or cancel their convention next week!

Several differing tracks continue to appear in weather models--but many are taking the storm directly near or around Tampa by the start date of the convention.

On Wednesday morning, Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn raised the prospect that the GOP convention, scheduled to run from Monday to Thursday, might have to be cancelled. "Absolutely, we're prepared to call it off," he said in an interview on CNN.

If the convention gets canceled, it would mean the storm coming towards Florida has dramatic and damaging potential.
