Half the country is prepping to watch all politics all week.. the half is probably trying to escape it along with all the ads.
But are people going to the movies!? OR JUST GOING TO THE HILL for one last summer getaway before classes and schools begin again for another year?
Box off numbers coming in are not spectacular--unless you made OBAMA'S AMERICA 2016, in which case you're pretty stunned that it may come in a strong number 4 for the amount of theaters it was in and the lack of advertising it had..

4: OBAMA'S AMERICA 2016..
Other films sinking.
The major flop of the year horror wise may be one of the most anticipated by some: THE APPARITION. Though a marketing campaign was attempted and Facebook fans 'liked' in droves, it seemed to never get off the ground.. only standing a ghost of a chance of doing well.. In APPARITION's case, it not only did poor but it did quite dismally. Expect a short life cycle for the movie.. and a quick video presence in months to come..
We will see if box estimates are correct..
